I wanted to share the latest layout I did for Pink Sketches. We are already at Sketch #3, so if you want to play along, just head over to Pink Sketches and join us! Also, for this week if you finish a layout and upload it to the Pink Gallery, Kelli will send you a bonus sketch!
Title: Pumpkin Possibility
Description: Going up to Apple Hill was tons of fun, especially when we went on a hunt to find the perfect pumpkin in the patch. The one I’m holding was one of the many pumpkin choices. There were tons of pumpkins, so the journaling strips come from the children’s song that goes: “One little, two little, three little pumpkins, four little, five little, six little pumpkins, seven little, eight little, nine little pumpkins, ten little pumpkins in the pumpkin patch”.
Materials: Paper: Cosmo Cricket – Mr. Campy (Flannel), Heidi Grace Designs – Harvest Row, My Mind’s Eye – Tres Bien, Bazzill – Scalloped Circle (Guacomole) Others: American Crafts – Thickers, SEI – Poppy, Reminisce – Enchanted Autumn
Thanks for looking, and I hope everyone has a wonderful three day weekend!
Kwaheri, sarah.
Okay, I admit… I haven’t been staying on top of writing blogs. So many things are going on right now that it’s so hard to keep up with everything. I started my new job this week, and I’ve got plenty of hours to keep me busy for a while. On top of that, school starts next week. But of course, I still managed to have time to scrap this week. I finished my Pink Sketch #3 layout a few days ago, so make sure to head over on Sunday to check all of the great layouts for this upcoming week!
…and so I don’t bore everyone with my ramblings, I uploaded pictures to share.

Our Fall Wreath
When we first moved into our home, we felt homesick because all of our stuff was packed in boxes, and we don’t have all of our furniture quite yet, so I wanted to make things feel more “homey”. I made this wreath knowing we were going to need color in our little “fixer-upper”. I know it’s a tad early for fall decorating, but thought I’d get a headstart!

Painting Pains
This has been our lives for the past couple of weeks now – painting! Here, we’re putting on that layer or primer before painting the first layer because we want everything to feel fresh and clean! The layer underneath was originally this really dark maroon color, so you can see it seeping through that first layer. I think we did three layers just to cover it all up!

Painting Boredom
Maui got super bored just sitting there waiting for us to finish, so she plopped herself right on the carpet. Hopefully soon, we’ll be able to rip out the carpet and put new flooring in. I’m really excited for that!
I bought this collar for Maui over a month ago, and we’ve gotten tons of compliments on it! She seems to like it a lot, so it must be comfortable. My favorite part about this collar is that it is personalized with her name and phone number. The stitching on it is superb, and I definitely plan on getting her another one with a different design. I bought this collar on Etsy from Bice Designs. There are a bunch of cute designs and patterns for these dog collars, so if you’re looking for one, head over to that Etsy shop.
More pictures of the collar are below. The 2nd picture shows what her name looks like on the collar. I cut off the phone number part in the picture for the sake of my privacy! — and she so does not look thrilled that Mommy is taking pictures of her while she is trying to fall asleep.

And last but not least, both Sophia and Deb from Pink Sketches nominated my blog with this:

Here are the rules for the award: (1) The winner can put the logo on their blog. (2) Link the person you received your award from. (3) Nominate at least 7 other blogs. (4) Put links of those on yours. (5) Leave a message on the blogs of the girls or boys you’ve nominated.
And just like Deb and Sophia, I’m going to have to nominate and link this to the Pink Sketches girls! They’re amazing and super talented, and I’m humbled to be working with such talented and sweet people! …and yeah, I totally broke the rules to because I nominated 6 not 7. hehe.
Make sure to visit their blogs and leave them lots of love!
Have a great weekend everyone!
Sayonara,
sarah.
I wanted to share my latest layout for Pink Sketches. This is sketch #2. Come join us and submit a layout. All you have to do is email the layout to Kelli, and she will post it in the gallery!

Title: All Tied Up (With Ribbon)
Description: My cat, Hoshi, has a fetish for ribbon! It’s a good thing I’m a scrapper because it keeps him pretty entertained. He’s always trying to find my latest ribbon and paper supplies. Because of the recent move, I left a bunch of my ribbon spools on the floor to pack up, and of course he was the first to attack the stash.
Materials
aper – Bazzill: black, Mini Scallop (Parakeet), American Crafts: a la Mode, Tinkering Ink: Blur Noise, Blur Bent, Three Bigs in a Rug: Color me pink, Scenic Route: die cut shapes (Surprise), alphabet die cut (Appleton), Junkitz: Flowerful Words

Zài jiàn, sarah.
I haven’t posted in a while, I know. I’ve been so busy this whole week that I haven’t really gotten a chance to blog and keep up to date with everyone! Eeeps! Here’s an update on the move:
The move went fabulously. I moved the majority of my boxes (still not unpacked), but they probably won’t get unpacked because we’re currently remodeling. My thoughts on that are “Why unpack, when I have to move everything out for remodeling!?” I do have access to a box of my scrapbook supplies, so no worries, hopefully this weekend I’ll get a chance to sit down and scrap something!
We have picked out a color to our home, and have started painting. We’ve got about 40% of it done so far. It’s a little tough when there’s work and school to attend to! Boo! Hopefully we’ll be able to demolish our kitchen soon, so that we can get our new cabinets and appliances in… that way, we can start ripping out the old carpet and putting in our floor. Once I dig up my cord to upload photos, I’ll post pictures of how messy our place is right now! …and maybe i’ll update with the remodeling process.
As for me, I’m learning all the new roads and stores around here. I’ve only been here for a few days, and I definitely feel more confident than I did a few days ago. Boy, was I a mess?! hehe. Good news though – I found Michaels and the Joanns. There’s a bunch of local scrapbook stores out here too! YAY. That totally made me feel at home because I was starting to feel homesick.
Okay, I’ll update more later when I get the chance.
Bye for now, sarah.
This will be the last post until I move into my new home, but I wanted to share the lastest layout. I felt the need to scrap a layout of one of my closest friends. She’s been an amazing friend for the past five years, and I just wanted to tell her that. Also, I used the “recipe” idea because she’s a great cook and food fanatic!

Title: Our Recipe
Some Materials Used: Sassafras Lass – Sunshine Lollipop Collection, Making Memories – 5th Avenue Spiral Journaling Book, Making Memories – Alpha Stickers, American Crafts – Thickers
