I just looked at the calendar and realized that we are almost done with April. Seriously, where does the time go?! That’s okay though because come May, I’ve got a lot of fun and exciting things going on. I can’t wait to share the news! It’s making me grin from ear to ear.
Anyway, I’ve been cleaning up the scrap room. I’ve got stuff ALL OVER THE PLACE. It looks like a tornado came through my room, haha. I can’t even walk into the room because there is stuff all over the floor. I’ve been trying to sort through stuff I have not seen since I bought it. Yes, I admit that I buy stuff, and it ends up just sitting there waiting to be used. I’m also trying to sort through some of the scrap supplies where I used a couple of letters and never bothered with the rest. I’ve also got boxes and boxes of untouched material — I really don’t know what to do with all of it!
I recently just bought this to help my desktop space – I absolutely LOVE it! I store a stack of recent pictures in here, so that it helps me tackle the pile before I print new ones.

This is a good way to store your tools!
I just recently received the Grab ‘N Go as a gift, and it really helps me keep track of the small embellishments that never get used. Plus, I plan on letting it sit on my desk so I’ll be more likely to use my stuff. I figure that once I use up one pack of embellishments, I’ll just add another pack from my box of unused supplies.

It helps me keep track of what I have.
Today, I plan on working on paper storage. I bought more of the cubes for my paper because I ran out of space.
I think I’m going to arrange paper by brand. Does anyone else have any better ideas for paper storage?
While I try to organize my room, I’ll start off with two RAKS! Yes, two — meaning there will be TWO winners! To play, you have to…
- Leave a comment with your favorite scrapbook brand… and for those of you who do not scrapbook, I’m interested to know whether or not you have ever tried to scrapbook.
- If you have a blog, post my giveaway on your blog for more players. If you do so, I’ll add your name in twice… but make sure to let me know that you shared it on your blog.
- You have until Saturday (May 2), by 11:59 pm PST to play!
Stay tuned, I’m doing more giveaways! This is just the first one!
Happy Monday to everyone,
Sarah.

I LOVE SASSAFRAS!!! They always have fun lines!
Can’t wait to see how you organize all of your scrap supplies in the scraproom. As for paper storage, I do it by color, but it really is personal preference. Have a great week.

I love Creative Memories! In recent years, they have stepped up their game and have come out with a lot of impressive items. By the way, check out the “organization” tab on my blog for a lot of paper storage tips.

What would you give me if I offered to clean that room for you?
I’m sure Maui would love room to run around! However, I bet Hoshi would love it right now… so much paper to lay on and materials to play with! Paper and ribbons and embellishments! Oh my!

What a way to start the week! My current fave is My Mind’s Eye. I love the patterns – so fun and colorful. I arrange papers by brand. It is easier for me to remember what I used should there be a need to mention that when posting my LOs.
Also invited you to join the Scrap Blog Conga Line. http://liveitloveitscrapit.blogspot.com/
Thanks.

I totally know how you feel – we just bought shelves for my scrap studio on the weekend. They’re not up yet but man when they are it will be organized heaven (I hope).
Of course I must plug Kaszazz as my brand of choice seeing as I sell it hee hee, but that aside I do love Basic Grey, the papers and the rub ons are all I’ve really seen of the range. We’re a bit limited in Australia – nothing like the scrap supplies you guys are spoilt with! So jealous – sigh.
BTW in regards to your paper storage I’ve seen a lot of DT members that store by brand so it’s easier to note down what they’ve used etc. Hope that helps.

I love Prima! Love the flowers, felt pieces and rhinestone swirls!
I store paper by color and by brand, if I’ve got a lot of one company (like Basic Grey).

How lucky are you? I cant wait to have my own scrapbook room. After you get all organized you should do a “my happy place” LO with your room.
I think America Crafts would have to be my favorite company. Love thickers and their paper quality rocks. Pink P, Sass, Ham, KI, MLS, Dbug are all great IMO also.
What your favorite Sarah?

Hi Sarah,
Thanks so much for leaving me your lovely comment on my Blog – I really appreciate it !:)
I may as well enter into your RAK while I am here, hey? lol – I have to say that my fave new lines of paper would have to be the new Webster’s Pages – absolutely divine!

glad to see you’re still blogging. Love the new organizational items you got! Isn’t organizing paper of any kind always difficult?

I’ll say my fave brand is Prima since I seem to use it on all of my projects.
I have been in the evil land of paper organization lately & by brand seems to be the majority preference including mine. I tried by color, but those double sided papers messed up that plan. I have all of by brand except for themed papers. My cardstock is by color along with misc. solid color patterned papers.
Have fun organizing!

happy re-organizing!! i love that cos i get to admire my stash at the same time.. *chuckles* I do sort my paper by manufacturers, though – makes it easier for coordinating from the same line.
Do I really have to pick just ONE brand? Gosh.. for this year, Sassafrass has impressed me the most – I have all their 3 collections, plus embellishments!! And don’t you just love their paper trims?!

as for davis, it’s really fun right now, because i’m going to school and working. but i can’t imagine it being the same after graduation. i go out on the weekends with friends and all that, and it can definitely get crazy juggling life and school sometimes. but i’m really excited to finish up and move on to the next chapter in my life. :]
oh, and kudos to you for cleaning your scrap room. mine isn’t even a room, it’s a corner in my bedroom, and it looks atrocious.

That’s so sweet of you! I store my paper by brand too. I guess I can go ahead and admit this next thing, as well, since you went first. I am a shopaholic and I am constantly buying stuff that sits for ages before I use it. Shhhh…don’t tell anybody!

And yes, I mentioned your RAK in my blog – http://pinayscrapper.blogspot.com/2009/04/rak-and-load.html. Good luck with the cleaning and organizing.
