Red Oak Lines

It’s Raining (Ribbons and Scrap Piles). RAK!!

No joke. It’s really raining in my neck of the woods. I’m not complaining though because our flower and vegetable garden need lots of water. Plus, it’ll keep our grass healthy. …but it’s also raining ribbons and scrap piles.

Okay, so it’s the end of the week, and my room still looks like a tornado tore it up! I can’t seem to make my pile of mess go away no matter what I do. Therefore, I’m going to do another double RAK! One RAK will be a stash of random ribbon, and the second RAK will be a stack of random scrap paper that I have cut up but is still usable. I’ll draw two random winners for this one! To play along:

1. Leave a comment with your favorite quote.

2. If you have a blog, share the news. By doing so, I’ll put your name into the drawing twice. (Please make sure to let me know that you are posting a link!)

3. You have until Tuesday, May 5th, by 11:59 pm.

Now, just a couple of layouts to share.

I asked the creative Deana if she wanted to swap pictures to scrap just for fun, and I was so thrilled when she agreed. I love the style and creativity that she puts into ALL of her projects. She sent me a picture of her beautiful daughter Bryn, and I gladly created this layout for her. Hope you like it, Deana!

As for other news, I completed my last assignment for Butterfly Crafts. It was a pleasure scrapping with the rest of the DT, and I will surely miss working with this group of inspirational scrappers. The last challenge I completed called to draw from your favorite Disney character for inspiration. Of course, I had to pick Belle from Beauty and the Beast. Make sure to play along; there’s a yummy prize for the winner to this challenge!

That’s it for now. Make sure to check back tomorrow. I plan on posting another RAK for National Scrapbooking Day! Perhaps, maybe a game? It’s time for everyone to get their scrap on!

Hugs,

sarah.

Thanks for the chance to win Sarah!
I’ve got lots of favorite quotes, but a few days ago I came across this one and it kinda stuck: “kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless” by Mother Teresa.

Wonderful chance, thanks for your RAKs :)
Later I’ll spread the news item in a new entry, I hope it’s ok even if my blog is open only upon invitation.

My favourite quote is “It is the time you have spent with your rose that makes your rose so important” (from “The Little Prince” by Antoine de Saint-ExupĂ©ry), I always put it in practice when something lies at my heart!
