Today I woke up to find a really cool email, which linked up to here. It totally made my day! Let’s just say that if you subscribe to Memory Makers’ newsletter, you’ll find someone familiar in it. ;)

Today I walked into the family room and remembered that we finally have a new couch! We went to West Elm yesterday to pick it up. This is our sectional, in the Espresso color, of course:

Our comfortable and latest piece of furniture.

Today I read this on Deana‘s blog. I thought it was totally worth reading. It gives me tons of inspiration.

Today I went outside and enjoyed the beautiful weather. …and in the patio I found two hooligans hanging out.

Here are the two dogs enjoying the beautiful weather today.

Maui: Is it time to go the park?

I wish the weekend was longer, but then again, I think most people agree with me on that one. This past weekend, my family came to hang out. My mom was totally impressed with my garden. Yippppeee! She told me that my vegetables and herbs were more abundant than hers! Personally, I find that hard to believe since she’s got a major green thumb. I can’t wait to reap all of the fresh produce!

Tomatoes!

On top of the vegetable garden, we’ve been working on making the patio feel warm and homely. We’re pleased with how everything turned out, and so are the dogs! There are a variety of flowers that add so much color to our place, and the dogs now have grass and bark to run around and play in.

The yellow totally pops with the blue pot.

I absolutely love how the yellow daisies totally pop with the blue pot.

Earlier today, I caught Maui and Hilo in their outdoor toy bin. I guess they were tired of the toys in their usual indoor toy basket. Luckily, I had the camera with me, so I decided to snap some shots of the both of them.

Hilo: We decided to come out here and play instead.

Hilo: "We decided to come out here and play instead. Playing inside the house was boring!"

Maui: Which one should we play with?

Maui: "Which one should we play with?"

Hilo: Get out of here, Mom! Maui and I have this under control.

Hilo: "Mom... Maui and I have this under control."

I’m so impressed that both of them get along. Before we brought Hilo home, I was so worried that Maui wasn’t going to be thrilled about the new puppy. Good thing she loves his company. They really are inseparable nowadays.

They do almost everything together.

They do almost everything together.

Recently, I’ve been deprived of scrapping, so I had to play in the scraproom. In the past couple of days, I worked on some DT work and other layouts just to appease my scrapping craze. I’m totally loving my latest layouts.

The first layout was created for the current Scrapping Across the Universe challenge, which requires for contestants to scrap about exciting news you have received. Mine was about moving into our new home.

I also finished a layout for the current challenge over at Scrap Outside the Box. Ally hosted this challenge, and her “outside the box” item was a clothing tag. Play along for a great way to challenge yourself!

Last but not least, the weekly sketch from Kelli over at Pink Sketches is now available. Here’s the sketch:

…and here’s my layout for this sketch:

I love the Jillibean Soup letter stickers on this layout. Don’t you?!

Okay, that’s it for now. I’ve got to get back to planning. I have to look into different caterers in the area.

Hugs,

sarah.

I know I haven’t written in a while, but I was in need of a break. There were a lot of things that happened (GOOD and bad) since I last posted, and I couldn’t keep up with all of the changes. No, don’t worry — it wasn’t anything anxiety related.

On another note, here’s what all of us have been up to:

Thank you, Jennie, for bringing us these delicious cupcakes!

Yummmmmmmy!

"Yummmmmmmy!"

The floor is now officially “walkable”. I still need to take pictures of the way it looks now. You’d be amazed at the way this house looked when we bought it versus the way it looks now. It looks like a completely different place.

Last week, we lost all our carpet!

The dogs have been keeping each other busy. Maui loves Hilo’s company, and Hilo loves Maui’s company. Their favorite game is what I like to call “UFC” – the ultimate fighting champion game. Maybe later on today, I’ll get a video of what this looks like. They wrestle and wrestle, and then wrestle some more until they pass out.

Maui was NOT thrilled that most of the furniture got moved into the bedroom and the patio.

We decided to all relax in the patio since the weather was nice.

Hilo decided to use Maui as a pillow.

Hilo decided to use Maui as a pillow, and that's me asleep in the back.

I wake up to this... every morning! Apparently, they like to play early in the morning too.

I wake up to this every morning! They like to play early before I start my day. I really need to start teaching them the trick, "Clean up."

There’s LOTS going on in my life right now, so I haven’t really had the time to scrap the way I used to. I’ve been so entertained reading wedding magazines and browsing online for dresses, so I haven’t had the time to scrap. I did, however, manage to complete a few layouts here and there.

This layout was done for the latest challenge over at Scrap Schemes. Come check out what the other gals created, and join in on all the fun!

The rest of the following layouts were created just for fun. I haven’t been too thrilled with my outputs, but it might be due to a lack of motivation. I’ve totally lost my scrapping mojo. Somebody help me find it, or send some my way.

Someone please give me some scrapping inspiration… or a challenge…! I have NO motivation to scrap. Waaaaah!!! Does anyone mind if I lift one of their layouts — send me a link to one of your layouts?! I promise I’ll give you credit. ;)

To the winners to the recent RAKS: I know I haven’t sent out your packages yet. I’ve been swamped, but I promise I’ll get them out to you. Thanks for being so patient!

In search of scrapping inspiration,

sarah.
