…another one opens. My parents have been telling me this since I can even care to remember, and I never really paid attention to it. However, I’m going to have to admit that they are/were right. A few posts back, I shared some not so good news. Today, I’ve got some AWESOME news to share.

I made the design team over at That Scrappy Girl!!!

Seriously, I was so HAPPY (and surprised) when I found out the news! :) I’m so honored and thrilled to be working with such an amazing set of girls that share the same passion as me (to see who else made the design team, click here). I can’t wait to share all of my upcoming layouts and projects with everyone!

I also wanted to share some recent layouts with everyone.

I used most of my supplies from the July Green Tangerines Kit Club on this one. I LOVE the colors on this layout! Don’t you?!

…and here’s another layout I finished just for fun:

Can life be any better than this?! Well, I know it can be, but for now… LIFE RIGHT NOW will totally do. :) I feel so lucky and so fortunate, and that is always something to smile about. :)

Hugs,

sarah.

Where did the weekend go?! I swear it was just Friday, but don’t I say that every Monday?! ;) I feel like someone’s gotta kick Mondays in the arse.

We still had guests over last night, so I was still playing hostess with the mostess. I did, however, slip in some time to scrap for an hour or so. I finished one layout, which is definitely better than nothing. I played with the new Fancy Pants Designs. They’ve got some cute new things this time around. Check it out:

Julie bought some CUTE little embellies for me to play with. Isn’t she sooooo sweet?! I love them, and I can’t wait to create something with it. :)

Thank you, Julie! This totally made my day.

I’ve been slowly pulling out the fall decorations from our storage, and I finally found the wreath I made for our door last year. I’ve been too busy to create something for this season, so I decided to reuse it. Here’s another picture of our wreath with the “Home Sweet Home” sign:

I love the fall for its colors. Beautiful, isnt it?!

I cant wait for this fall -- so many fun things planned! :)

I know a lot of people have asked to see the scraproom. Well, to be honest, I haven’t posted pictures of it because it was going through a messy stage! …but then again, when is it not in a messy stage?! haha. LOL. Once I start creating, I make a mess here, and then it’s there. By the time I finish, it’s in the dining room. Yikes! Can you believe I managed to make a mess in the dining room too?!

This was taken last week. I made sure to clean it up before the housewarming! ;)

As for the furbabies, Maui and Hilo are doing wonderfully. Maui is the usual — gentle, sweet, and always on the lookout for squirrels and birds.

Her favorite hobby: on the lookout for squirrels.

Hilo, the monster, is growing way too fast. He just got his haircut, so he’s totally embarrassed about it right now because all of his spots can be seen.

He is SOOOOOO crazy, but oh so cute!

Now, I’m off to continue watching Say Yes to the Dress. ;) It’s making me want to go look around for dresses. hahaha.

Hugs,

sarah.

Recently, I’ve been really into the song, “Closer To Love” by Mat Kearney. ;)

Cause you are all that I’ve waited for all of my life / We’re gonna get there / You are all that I’ve waited all of my life

I guess it’s a fun song because it’s catchy. :)

I haven’t really gotten a lot of scrapping done recently.

This weekend, we had ANOTHER housewarming party with mostly Gloria’s family this time. Her cousin and husband flew up to visit, so they’re staying with us. …and I’m playing hostess with the mostest, again. hehe. :) I didn’t get to snap a lot of photos because I was busy conversing, lol. Here are some to share:

Okay, isnt she cute?! Shes such a sweetheart!

Okay, isn't she cute?! She's such a sweetheart! This is Gloria's niece.

...and so is her older sister! They grew since the last time I saw them!

Are you here for the housewarming?! If so, come right in!

Last week, we went to go visit my parents to tell them the good news.

Honestly, its perfect to me. :)

Heres the top view. :)

Oh, isnt it gorgeous?! Its bigger and prettier than what I expected. :)

Here’s the latest from Pink Sketches; I love the simplicity of this sketch because it can be used in so many different ways.

…and if you are interested, Kelli is still looking for some new designers to add to the Pink Sketches Design Team. If you are interested in joining us, please visit Pink Sketches for more details on how to apply!

The second layout is not something I would normally scrap, but I still liked how it came out. I totally love this paper line from Prima. I think the doodling design is adorable!

Enjoy the week ahead of you! I know I will. ;)

Hugs,

sarah.

I’ve got some bad news to share:

1. Pam has decided that September will be the last month of Kraft Girl Kits. :( To find out more details, head on over to the blog to read her post. There will definitely be a kit sale, so stay tuned for that!

((I am now officially back on the scrapping market. ;) Does anyone know of any kit clubs/manufacturers looking for some new designers?!))

2. I came up with a brilliant idea to start a new venture that acknowledges scrapbookers, new and old; however, I guess I brought it up at the wrong time because there were not enough submissions for me to create enough pages to produce a journal. Please accept my sincerest apologies for those who have submitted their work and ideas to me. I truly enjoyed looking at all of your amazing work and talent.

I would love to acknowledge ALL OF YOU for your brilliance and your time.

Again, my apologies.

…but please check out this amazingness that was sent to me from all around the world:

Now, for (some of) the good news…

I received some exciting news. I was offered to teach a couple classes over at a local scrapbook store, Scrappers Depot. I’m really excited because I’m working on prepping a mini album class. I’m totally stoked (and slightly nervous) about this, but I seriously can’t wait! Oh, and to make things even better, this store is located in the beautiful Napa, California ((yeah Deana, I know you want to come and take my class while you drink some amazing wine ;) )). Anyway, once I get the details, I’ll let you all know — and if you live in the area, you should come out and say hello! :) Check out this awesome store:

Oh, and my eyes went like this yesterday

O.O

I’ll update more later.

…and here’s another layout I cranked out even though I was feeling sick earlier this week:

Happy Friday!

Hugs,

sarah.

I’ve been stuck at home for the past couple of days because I’ve been feeling icky. I had a fever earlier, and the headaches seem to come and go. I’m hoping that all of this will pass very soon.

Hilos totally with me on the feeling blue.

Hilo's totally with me on this.

Staying at home, however, definitely has some advantages. I was able to finish a couple of layouts.

Scrap Outside The Box has a new challenge. For this one, all you have to do is use a paperclip in one of your layouts. Pretty simple, right? Right! Get to it, and share it with us. The layout I made was fun to make because it really was an opportunity for me to “scrap outside the box”. I played around with some of my Glimmer Mist. ((Speaking of Glimmer Mist, just wanted to give a big CONGRATULATIONS to Jamie for making it on the Tattered Angels Design Team!))  This layout also was fitting to the current challenge over at ScrapFit. Here’s my take on the challenge:

This next layout was created with the July Green Tangerines Kit. I tried misting on this project. I kind of like the way it turned out. What do y’all think?

…and I even had the chance to finish up a layout using the latest sketch over at Sketchy Thursdays. I love how this one turned out. I also used the July Green Tangerines Kit on this one. Here’s my take on the sketch:

A couple of days ago, I dug up the fall arrangement I made last year for the media console. I’m loving the bright colors it adds to the room!

Don't you just love the fall colors?!

I love the pine cones and acorns in this arrangement!

I love the pine cones and acorns in this arrangement!

I still have to find more of the Halloween decorations cooped up in our storage, but I’ll do that when I’m feeling better. :)

I will definitely be back soon to update everyone on the latest news.

Happy Hump Day!

Hugs,

sarah.
