I’ve got a good reason for why I haven’t posted these last few days. I’ve been out of town, and I only got home yesterday. Anyway, I’m going to play catch up. …and I apologize for not visiting everyone’s blogs. Hopefully soon, I’ll be able to stop by each and everyone’s blogs.
Tuesday and Wednesday
Basically, these were days of RELAXATION and preparation for Thanksgiving.
"Mommy, I love playing in the leaves!"
"Is that a squirrel I see?!"
Thursday
Turkey day! Thanksgiving is always “filling” in more ways than one. You get LOTS of great food and fun times with family.
This year, we had TWO Thanksgiving celebrations — once at lunch and another at dinner! Talk about being stuffed, hehe. Surprisingly, I didn’t take that many photos.
Early in the morning, I started to mash the potatoes. Hmm, I wonder what I was in charge of making?!

Hoshi was eye'n food.
My uncle was in charge of cutting the turkey this year.
Friday
No, I didn’t wake up early and go shopping. Personally, I rather sleep in and go shopping when it’s not busy in the stores. I did, however, decorate one of my mom’s Christmas trees.
Here's Mom's Christmas tree in the TV room.
Saturday
My mom made my whole family go look for a Christmas tree to decorate, and we did just that.
My dad also helped hang some ornaments on the other tree.
My brother, Scott, even helped too!
I did a pretty good job of playing catch up don’t you think?! I have yet to post pictures of our Christmas tree, so make sure to stay tuned for that.
This past week hasn’t been kind to my scrapping supplies. I’m in some sort of slump! However, there are a couple of projects I want to share.
Zutter is on its eleventh day of Christmas inspiration, and today’s post was written by yours truly. To check it out, go here. I made some simple Christmas cards using my bind-it-all.
…and some random layouts I used with some of the scraps I had lying around:
Tomorrow, I plan on posting some fun Imaginisce projects, so stay tuned.
Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend, and wishing everyone a great week ahead of them!
Hugs,
sarah.
Even if no one bothers to read my thankful list but me, I’ll have this to come back to. …and if anyone does stop by, I do hope my list might help you get started with your own thankful list.

To those who celebrate Thanksgiving, hope you all have a wonderful and delightful holiday. …and always remember to be grateful for what you have and for what you don’t have.
Happy Thanksgiving,
sarah.
Who’s excited for Thursday?! Me!
Who’s ready for Thursday?! Not us!
On another note, I just wanted to share some layouts that I recently finished but never got around to sharing.
I finally cut up the Sassafras Lass papers that I didn’t have the courage to cut up from this past summer. It was too cute for me to use, so I hoarded it.
I caved in when I found the perfect pictures for this line.
See that awesome felt scalloped border in the layout below?! Well, Bethany (a “freak” at its finest, lol!) was so sweeeeeet to send me some fun scrapping stuff to play with.
Speaking of getting happy mail, Julie (aka my boss), was so thoughtful and sent some early Christmas presents! I didn’t get around to taking pictures of my box of stuff.
Why?! Well, I put my cool pictures frames up already… and I added my scarecrow to my fall arrangement… and I put the candles in the kitchen!
hehehe.
I made another layout with the November kit from That Scrappy Girl. Seriously, the “nuttiness” of this layout will drive you bonkers.
…and yes, I did use one of Pam’s templates from Ideas for Scrapbookers. Isn’t it awesome?! If you haven’t already, make sure to hit up the blog for some inspiration and major creativity. ((Sorry for this cruddy picture of the layout, by the way.))
…and I know that some of you are itchin’ to see pictures of our Christmas tree. Well, you’re all going to have wait until it’s officially Christmastime.
Hugs,
sarah.
PS: I wish it was Sunday.
These past couple of days have been surprisingly productive.
On Friday, we hosted our mini Thanksgiving celebration, which has become a tradition at our home. After our festive dinner, we start decorating for Christmas. Have we finished decorating?! Not even close! We still have to put up stockings and garlands, put up the outdoor lights, and so much more! …but first we have to get through Thanksgiving!
Gloria?! Decorating?! Did I miss something?!
Maui thought some of the ornaments were good enough to eat.
"This is sooooo boring! Decorating takes forever, so I'm just going to sleep!"
Once we finish the tree, I’ll make sure to share with everyone.
Yesterday, we headed to Gloria’s parents’ house to help set up their Christmas tree. Funny how we finished their tree, but we didn’t finish ours, haha!
Maui and Hilo had fun. No, not because they got some chicken from the grandparents, but because they had fun running around, hehe.
Their tree this year is red!
The goofballs were hanging out by the tree.
Scrapping updates:
Recently, I wrote up a review for Scrapbooking Supplies R Us; it’s the online store for Memories Live On. Here’s a couple of projects I created using some of the latest from American Crafts.
To read my review on the “Merrymint” line, click here.
…and don’t forget, Zutter is still doing the 12 Days of Christmas! If you need some Christmas inspiration, head on over to the forum to see some projects, challenges, and giveaways!
Now, I’m off to do run some errands today.
Happy Sunday,
sarah.
Have you seen the 12 Days of Christmas over at Zutter?! For the next 12 days, the Zutter Zisters and the OZZ plan on sharing some inspiration and challenges to spread the holiday cheer. Join us over at the message board to check it out!
…and while I’m rambling about Zutter, I wanted to share a project I made using my Bind It All with some Urban Lily products.
Okay that’s all!
Enjoy!
Hugs,
sarah.
