Oh my word!!! I haven’t updated yet, but I plan on updating with pictures tonight.

It’s soooo much fun over here at CHA. I can’t wait to update with pictures.

…and if you are in town, visit booth #3635. Kiki Art is doing great. Check us out!!!

Hugs,
sarah

It’s almost time for CHA, and I’m not quite done with packing. I’m getting there though.

In the mean time, I’m testing to see if I can update my blog from my cell phone. If anyone can see this, I got it to work. Wahooooo!

Will be back soon!

It’s nonstop downpour here. The sky is dark, and I don’t think I have seen the sun in a couple of days now. …and get this, there was just a tornado warning where I live?! Is that even possible?! I guess so considering an emergency broadcast just played on the TV not to long ago.

On another note, I’ve been slowly packing everything up to head down to CHA. Hopefully, I’ll be finished packing by tomorrow morning! It’s hard trying to pack when Maui and Hilo keep trying to pull my already packed clothes out of my bag.

On top of trying to unpack my luggage, they are trying to keep themselves entertained. They are driving me bonkers by chasing and tackling each other around the house!

Hilo: "We're just playing, Mommy!"

Maui: "I wish it stopped raining already. We want to run outside!"

"Mommy, you're getting in the way of our chasing game!"

I love this picture of Maui. :)

After about an hour or so of them being crazy, they finally plopped themselves down on the couch! :) Their current status — SNORING like big bears!

…and I’ll leave everyone with some Kiki Art stuff that I have been working on for the booth:

…and Kiki also released more sneak peeks on the blog. Make sure to check it out!

Who’s excited for CHA?! Are you?! I know I am! Kiki Art will be at booth #3635, which in the middle of the International area and the New Exhibitors section. If I’m not there, then I’ll be with Zutter at booth #1963.

Stay tuned because I plan on updating live from Anaheim!

How’s the tundra?! ;)

Ack! The storm woke me up, and I can’t fall back asleep, so I decided to write.

It’s been raining nonstop over here, but I guess I can’t complain considering there are people who have to brave the snow on a daily basis. Anyway, there’s supposed to be a series of storms headed towards California. I don’t mind the rain at all. As a matter of fact, I LOVE it! :) The sound of the rain is actually quite soothing. Maui and Hilo are completely frustrated by it though; they didn’t really get a chance to stick their face out the window on our daily errand run yesterday.

"The rain is not nice; it won't let me stick my head out the window!"

…and because it’s running cats and dogs over here, I finally finished making cards with leftover Hambly products that Memories Live On wanted me to create for their CHA Supershow booth. Oh, the joys of leftover scraps!

…and here’s a layout I made just for fun. I love all the bright and vivid colors on this one!

Oh, and I finally had the chance to draw a random winner for my giveaway last week. If you aren’t the winner this time, no worries! I do giveaways ALL THE TIME, so you’re bound to win sooner or later, right?

…and the winner is Melissa! To claim your prize, please email me at redoaklines[at]gmail[dot]com, and I’ll ship a package filled with tons of scrappy goodness.

Last but not least, remember that sketch I posted not to long ago? This one:

Antonia was so kind enough to share her take on my sketch! Isn’t this stunning?! *nods head*

Feel free to “jack” my sketches. I don’t mind at all. I use them to inspire me when I’m in a scrapbooking rut, so I thought why not share them with everyone else. To see more of them, click here! …and if you do use them, I want to see your work!

Speaking of sketches, head on over to Imaginisce! There’s some fun stuff brewing up over there. :)

If you’re going to be in Southern California, Jan 23rd, make sure to hit up the World’s Largest Crop Attempt. It’s going to be fun and filled with a bunch of giveaways! I know that Zutter is hosting a giveaway, and one of my projects will be in their giveaway basket. Yay!

Off to fall back asleep with the sound of the rain.

Yesterday, where we live, it was clean AND crisp weather – the kind that makes you want to go outside and explore anywhere and everywhere. It’s the kind where you want to step outside and take a really deep breath because you can feel the cold air rush through your nose into your lungs.

The sky was slightly cloudy, but that didn’t stop us. We drove to Half Moon Bay to find some local places that I think would be a perfect fit. I’ve got my mind set on a couple of things, but we shall see. …and while we were in the area, we decided to take a break and just enjoy life. We took a detour from all the hustle and bustle of life and found ourselves playing at the quietest and most serene place I have ever encountered. It was absolutely GORGEOUS. The colors around me took my breath away. Here are some shots from yesterday:

Isn't the California coast beautiful?!

Even when the sky is cloudy, the coast looks amazing.

We found this fallen tree on our hike.

Gloria decided to wander further down the trail.

It's our new secret hiding spot. :)

What happens when I let others take photos?! THIS!

Today we decided to go on another escapade.  Before the rain started to downpour, we decided to take a short little nature hike in the wetlands about 10 minutes or so from our place. It’s a beautiful thing when you can get submerged in nature. Here are pictures from earlier today:

This is what the Bay Area wetlands look like.

"C'mon, Mommy! I want to check out the ducks."

What a pretty place for being 10 minutes away from us! It's so calm and quiet here.

I spotted a crane on the hunt for food! Yikes, birds! LOL.

That fresh air break was really needed because this upcoming week is going to be busy. I finished most of my DT projects, and now I’m working on CHA stuff. I’ve got to seriously start cranking them out this week. ;)

I cleared my work space to work on make and takes, and I found all of these alphabet sets on the table. Mind you, this is JUST the table, not anywhere else.

I didn't even want to do a final count. ;)

I have a separate place for all of my letters, but if I counted how many sets of Thickers, chipboard letters, or letter stickers I actually had, I think my bank account would start crying. LOL. Easily over 250 for sure. Yikes!

Anyway, wish me creativity and luck! I’ll be definitely needing some of that this week.
