Reflections starts today, so stay tuned for pictures from this weekend, but for now I want to share a couple of projects.
The layout below features Kiki Art‘s Water Rain collection. The colors matched so perfectly with these photos that I took a couple of weeks ago.

I used a pretty simple design on this one because I wanted to highlight these GORGEOUS photos of my cousin. I felt that creating something too “busy” would have taken away from the photos, so I left it as is. What are your thoughts?
My next project was created a while ago. Memories Live On wanted me to create a mini album featuring Zutter products and paper from Cosmo Cricket‘s Joy Ride line to use as a store sample, so I got right to it. I just realized that I never got around to sharing this mini album on my blog, so here it is:

My album looks fairly empty because I didn’t get a chance to journal on all of the pages. I did, however, get around to adding photos from one of my New York trips. For other details on this mini album, read my review over here.
Lastly, make sure to check back tomorrow for a giveaway in honor of my favorite holiday.

Oh, and if you are in the Newport Beach area, stop by Reflections and come say hello! I will be hanging out with the girls from Punky Sprouts.
Hi, everyone! You must be here for the Kiki Art blog hop(scotch). Please feel free to “hop” around for your chance to win some awesome prizes. Below are the details on how to play along.
When? During National Scrapbook Day weekend. It will run from Thursday, April 29th until Monday, May 3rd.
How to play? Each design team member was asked to select an organization that commits to helping others. Then, they created a project based on their organization featuring Kiki Art products. Make sure to take note of each organization/good cause each DT member has selected. When you hop from blog to blog, hopefully you will get inspired by all of the beautiful Kiki Art work. We also hope that you are inspired to do good by getting involved in an effort to create a better world through these organizations.
How to get a prize from the Kiki Art blog? For your chance to win, you need to leave a comment on the Kiki Art blog letting us know which one(s) were your favorite blog(s) and organizations during the blog hop.
How to get a prize from a Kiki Art design team member blog? Many members of our DT have decided to give away a project that is related to the good cause they believe in. Others have offered out other giveaways. Leave a comment on their posts, and they will pick a random winner. On Tuesday, May 4th, all winners will be announced.

I have chosen to feature the Surfrider Foundation. This foundation seeks to protect the oceans and beaches through conservation, activism, research and education. I have a deep love for the ocean, beaches, and marine life, so educating others about protecting our oceans makes me HAPPY. With that said, please don’t leave your trash on the beach; it’ll always end up in the water hurting the animals in the ocean. Also, if you visit a beach with coral, please DO NOT step on it. Coral is a living animal. When you step on it, you are hurting marine life.
Anywho, by commenting to this post by May 3rd, 11:59 pm, you are eligible to win this cute little mini journal created by yours truly:

It has blank inner pages for you to write and doodle whatever your heart desires. …and just for playing along, I’ll throw in some extra scrapbook goodies.
Kiki Art is a multicultural company, so I have listed the English, French, and Spanish DT members. Feel free to hop here, there, and everywhere.
Now get inspired, and hop away.

…and of course, make sure to hit up Kiki’s personal blog too!

It’s been a good week thus far, minus the Oakland Athletics’ loss last night, hehe. I have…
- tried a new recipe.
- finished most of my design projects.
- scheduled a trip for the weekend.
- spent way too much time in Target.
- worked on my brother’s graduation invites.
- took a jog with the dogs.
- signed up to volunteer at AIDS Walk San Francisco. ((Please make a donation!))
- cleaned the house. ((My mother wouldn’t have approved of its previous state.))
- doodled some new ideas.
- went (and need to go back) to my LSS to pick up design samples.
I’m excited for later today because I’m heading up to Scrapbook Depot to scrap with some friends. Hopefully, I’ll get some design work done. Let’s just hope that I design instead of socialize, haha!
Now, on to the scrappity happity…
I finished a layout using American Crafts paper that I hoarded from last year, haha! Every time I look at the pictures of the dogs dressed up as sharks, I can’t help but smile. They definitely made a CUTE attack at the parade last Halloween, hehe.

I got messy on this one, and I love it!
My next layout was inspired by a bunch of randomness that was on the table. …and I finally got around to using some of those Sweet Cheri Imaginisce rub-ons!
What do you think of this scattered-look layout? I kind of just threw stuff down onto a page, and I came up with this one. It’s definitely not one of my favorites, but it might be because it’s different from my usual designs.
Lastly, this is a reminder that the Kiki Art blog hop(scotch) starts tomorrow! I want to see all of you play along, so remember to check back. You are not going to want to miss all of the inspiration from designers all around the world!
Happy Wednesday!

PS: Jennie, don’t even think about it.
Today when I looked in the mirror, I saw my reflection. This is what I saw:

Okay, not really! …but I did wake up feeling tired from lack of sleep. Anyway, when I was in the bathroom getting ready, I gazed into the mirror and saw my reflection. I told myself, “This week is going to be a good week. I just know it.”
So far, I’ve been right! I finished all projects that I needed to do today, and that hardly ever happens. I finished cleaning the kitchen. …and I even managed to plan a last minute trip to Southern California! I was invited to attend and help out at REFLECTIONS this weekend, and I honestly couldn’t resist.
I will be there helping with some of my creative friends, Shelly from Punky Sprouts, Daniela from the Art Life, and the crazy Suzy. We are definitely going to have a blast. If any of you are in the area and plan on going, please let me know, or just stop by the Punky Sprouts booth to say hello.
Lastly, I know some of my readers have been asking to see some of my latest publications. Right now, I’m in this issue:

The best part about this project is how it shows off how I used the Zutter bind-it-all! …and of course, the fact that there’s a cupcake on it!
Lastly, I wanted to share some of my recent Urban Swank projects.

Yes, I misted on this one, hehe. What?! I can’t help it; consider it a type of addiction.
My second project is a simple card that I created using some of the scraps that I had in my Urban Swank stash. Seriously, these papers are so pretty! You do not have to embellish all that much. The paper seems to do all the work for you.

What do you think?! Pretty, right? Hope you enjoyed my latest! That’s all I can share for today; the rest of my projects will be posted later this week.
In the meantime, take a look into the mirror, look at your reflection, and tell yourself something positive.

It’s that time of year again… I’m volunteering at AIDS Walk San Francisco on July 18th. I had such a blast helping others out last year, that I thought I would do it again this year. …and did you know that volunteering and helping others out, is one of the natural ways to make yourself feel good?
If you want to help me reach my small fund raising goal of $100, I (we) would greatly appreciate it.
