Earlier this weekend, it was fairly sunny. Now, it feels like we have switched seasons! We’re experiencing a thunderstorm right now! It’s been raining all day, and the winds have been blowing nonstop. …and although it looks like I’m being Miss Complainer over here, I’m not complaining at all. Actually, I’m glad that it was one of those indoor days. I got to spend time at home with the family before I head off to Montreal.

Good thing my brother is house sitting and taking care of the kiddos while Gloria and I are traveling. Maui and Hilo prefer to stay with someone they know (and love) as opposed to being in a dog hotel. I haven’t even left yet, and they are having way too much fun. Thank you, Scott! We appreciate you doing this!

Before I’m on the road again, I wanted to share some of the latest projects. ;)

I finally got to play with one of the Nikki Sivils sketches. Here’s the one that I played with:

Even though this paper is a movie night/date night theme, I used it as an “in love” line about my parents, hehe. That’s the best part about creating, right?! You can use whatever for whatever! ;) Here’s my take on the sketch:

Speaking of sketches, there is a contest going on right now over at the Kiki Art blog. Just by using the following sketch, you are eligible to win some goodies from Kiki Art. …and because we know that some of you don’t have Kiki Art in your local scrapbook stores yet, you can use any products you wish.

For this sketch, I slightly altered it to make it my own.

I did a lot of detail cutting on this one – that’s definitely one of my favorite scrapbooking techniques! I LOVE how this layout is “original” compared to most of work. :) Anyway, I’d love if you’d all play along! Just make sure to share your completed layout on this post!

On top of the layouts, I’ve been cranking out a handful of mini albums, one of which I’ll share right now. Here’s a mini album I created using Urban Swank and Zutter products:

To see the details on this project, head here.

Don’t you think that Perfect Closure is pretty?! By using one of those, you are able to keep your mini album shut! I add so much dimension to some of my projects, so it’s hard to keep my album from flipping open. These closures solve that problem, and they are simple to use!

…and just because I felt like doing a giveaway, just comment to this post for your chance to win one of these Perfect Closures by Zutter! I promise that you’ll LOVE it. ;) You have until Wednesday, April 14th, by 11:59 pm to play.

Spread the word about the giveaway on your blog, twitter, facebook, etc. Then, let me know, and it’ll double your chances to win.

Oh, and I just wanted to give myself a shout out before I head to bed. This weekend, I got another pub request for another magazine pub! Woot! :) Yes, yes… I will share when it is for sale. ;)
