This past weekend, we headed down to Southern California. Although we did not stay as long as we would have liked, we still had a great time.
Gloria’s cousin works as a researcher for the San Diego zoo, so he gave all of us free tickets. I knew that it was going to be a big zoo, but I didn’t realize it was that HUGE! We pretty much walked to see all of the exhibits, which was extremely tiring, but it was great exercise. I enjoyed learning about all of the different animals that reside there. My personal favorite exhibits were the elephants, the okapi, and hippopotamuses.
The following day, we woke up bright and early to drive to Disneyland. It was just as fun as the zoo, but it was definitely more tiring. It’s supposedly the happiest place on Earth, and I totally understand why. There is just something magical about being there. I had a blast on some of my favorite rides – the Matterhorn and the Indiana Jones rides, which is surprising because I’m not a fan of rides!
All in all, it was a great mini vacation. I most especially enjoyed our five star hotel resort in Huntington for the much needed rest and relaxation!
Now, I’m trying to get back into the swing of things by finishing work deadlines. Time to create!
Life is good.

Disclaimer: I only support zoos that care about the well being and welfare of the animals that reside there. This also includes environmental education and informing visitors about global conservation.
I have been creating like a mad woman this month. …but then again, what’s new?!
First up, I have been creating with the sold out July kit from My Paper Tree House. Can you believe that?! It was sold out even before it was for sale! I can totally see how that happened. Check out what I made with this super cute kit:

…and to see how I make my projects pop, feel free to head on over to My Paper Tree House. It was my day to post.
I also loved creating with the July kit from The Sampler. Have you heard of this kit club?! It’s loaded with a ton of products! Here’s what I’ve been brewing up in my creative space:

This month even has some exclusive brads created from the Imaginisce Itop! …and we all know how much I love Imaginisce, right?!

The color combination for this month is perfect for summer. It is packed with an array of bright colors to work with those summer photos, but it is versatile enough to use on other photos.
If you are interested in picking up one of these kits, please click here. Soon, I will be teaching classes specifically for these kits at Memories Live On, and I can’t wait!
Lastly, I couldn’t go without announcing a winner to the Imaginisce paper pack. …but first, I wanted to let everyone in on the release party happening over at the Imaginisce blog this week. Release?! What release?! Well, here’s a little peak into the latest line, Apple Cider:

Isn’t it adorable?! My friend designed the papers to this collection, and I absolutely love it. To see more of Apple Cider, feel free to check out the inspiration from the rest of the DT at the blog. Also, Imaginisce is doing giveaways all week for this new release over there. Don’t miss out!
…and the winner to the Birthday Bash paper pack is Ruth Tacoma!

A big congratulations! Please send an email over to redoaklines@gmail.com, so I can get you your goodies. Thank you to everyone else for participating; I know I say this all the time, but don’t be discouraged if you didn’t win. I do frequent giveaways.
That is it for now with the layouts. Hopefully, I have inspired you to get up and create something! In the meantime, I will work on uploading the THOUSANDS of pictures from this weekend. I can’t wait to share all of the craziness.
