I was planning on posting this tomorrow, hence the “Happy Friday!” However, I decided to post it now because technically, for me, the weekend has all ready started, hehe.
Sorry for the poor lighting. I captured the video at night in the kitchen with the rest of the lights off in the house. Anyway, hope you enjoy this video of me!
…and I’ll post pictures of those layouts sometime soon.
Oh, and before I forget, today I went to meet up with Suzy at Hambly Screen Prints for our lunch date. It’s an amazing manufacturer in the scrapbook industry. The selection of products they have is unbelievable! Anyway, I digress. I meant to share the fun news. If you are in the San Francisco bay area, make sure to join in on this SPOOKTACULAR event, which is open to the public. Here are the details. …and yes, I plan on dressing up in costume for Halloween, so y’all better make it out there. Hope to see some familiar faces!

This week seems to be moving quickly, which I don’t mind at all. I’m all ready counting down the days until the weekend, haha! Monday was all about grocery shopping; the refrigerator was starting to look sparse. On Tuesday, I spent a good portion of my day cleaning the house. Today will be all about fostering my creativity.
To start the day off, I wanted to share a couple of layouts that I created with the September kit from My Paper Tree House:

As you can see, it’s loaded with a ton of the latest from Crate Paper. Doesn’t it look fun?! It’s a perfect kit for those back to school photos, as well as those early fall photos. These kits tend to sell out quickly, so make sure to get yours before they’re all gone. If you are interested in picking one up, head on over to My Paper Tree House.
…so I’ve finished my daily workout, ate breakfast, and took the furry kids out on their morning walk. Now, I need to get ready to take them to doggy daycare because I need to do some major creating today over at Scrapbook Depot.
Happy (creative) Wednesday!

Sometimes, it’s really a struggle, but not in the sense that I can’t accomplish my goal. It’s a struggle with the way I feel about body image. Since I can remember, being thin was always associated with being pretty. Maybe it was because of societal thoughts, or maybe it was peer pressure?
Regardless, being pretty is NOT synonymous with being thin. This is something I have to remind myself every now and again. Rather, being pretty should be about how one loves him/herself inside and out.

Does anyone else struggle with the issue of body image? If so, I want to hear your thoughts.
I’m still well on my way to hitting my goals. The eating healthier and being more active has definitely contributed to my success.
Winner from last week is:

Congrats to Jaime! Please shoot me an email via the Contact pageĀ to claim your prize. …and like always, I want to share my success with all of you. This week, I’m giving away a Cricut cartridge. This one to be exact:

Today marks the first day of Week Five. *woot woot!* Let’s hope I can keep up with my challenge!

The past weekend was woof-tastic! We had family over on the weekend, and they brought their cute furry friend, Periwinkle. …and although Maui and Hilo had a blast, they are still passed out from the abundance of running, chasing, and wrestling with each other.
Just a few of the pictures that were taken this weekend:

As you can see by that smile on my face, I also had a great weekend. It was fun to have that extra set of paws running around. Does that mean we’re getting a third one to cuddle and love?! Nope! We’ve got our hands full with our little rascals! …at least for now.
Tomorrow is the beginning of Week Five, and I’m still going strong. I don’t plan on sharing the numbers, but I do plan on sharing my emotional battles with my challenge. Stay tuned for that (and some of my latest scrapbook creations!)

I just wanted to check in with a quick post today because I’ve got to get back to three majorly cute dogs running around the house. We’ve got an extra set of paws with us this weekend, so Maui and Hilo are having a blast chasing their new friend around!
Anyway, here’s a simple but cute layout using one of the newest lines, City Park, from American Crafts:

For details on this layout, check out my post over at Scrapbooking Supplies R Us.
This afternoon, I’m headed to Memories Live On to crop with a couple of friends. Hopefully, I’ll get some work done, haha!
