It’s been over a month since my last blog post. Oops! I win the worst blogger of the year award. Anyhow, I thought I’d share one of my latest must-haves.
If you’re a friend of mine, then you’re obviously aware of how much I love my vacation time, and when I travel, it’s a must to stay at one of the thousands of SPG properties. Well, it was brought to my attention earlier this week that one of my favorite brands, Kate Spade, is teaming up with SPG with a promo! What?! Heck, yeah! It doesn’t get any better than this! There are now exclusive purses for the SPG girl at heart! *swoon* …and being an SPG platinum preferred guest, I think it’s necessary for me to snag one of the four cute bags. What d’ya think?!
I’m thinking of either getting the “Love Is in the Air” bag or the “Rest & Relaxation” bag. Eh, if I could have it my way, I’d get all of them except for the “Par for the Course”. I’m not a golfer…
How awesome would it be to stay at one of the SPG hotel and resorts and have one of those Kate totes on your shoulder?! *swoon*
Thinking about vacation is making me want to be back at the St. Regis Princeville in Kauai or perhaps the Sheraton Kona?! *sigh* Oh, so many fun memories from those trips.

PS: Um… yes, please!
…and I’m back the very next day with a post! Can you believe that?! How about I just not write anything, and I just share photos from my iPhone? Sounds like a plan to me!
Just looking at these photos are making me want to be back in Hawaii. I’m hoping we’ll be able to go back later on this year; I’ve got my fingers crossed.
Aside from my daydreams to be back in Hawaii, I have actually been scrapbooking. *gasp* Hah! Here’s a sneak of a layout I created using The Sampler’s April kit:
I plan on posting this layout on their blog tomorrow, so look out for that.

As promised, I’m back with another post with more photos from this past weekend’s trip up to the Mendocino/Fort Bragg area. They’re all from my iPhone, so excuse the quality of some of the photos.
We had fun exploring the grounds of the inn. My favorite part was the sustainable garden and the donkeys; it was a great way to start our morning.
The restaurant on the premises was delicious. The menu was solely vegan, and it was delicious! So delicious, that it has me committed to making one vegan meal a week. I know it’s not a lot, but one meal is better than none at all.
After breakfast, we drove up to explore Fort Bragg and Point Cabrillo. The hike to Point Cabrillo Lighthouse was relaxing. Although it was cloudy and overcast, it was still calming and beautiful.
…and later, we went down to the Point Arena area. Here, there are phenomenal views to look at.
That’s all the pictures for now.
Oh, and if you’re looking for some Cricut cartridges to add to your collection, I’m selling all of mine. Lots of them have sold, but there are still lots available. Find all of the listings here.

The last time I was up in Fort Bragg, California, I was about seven or eight years old. At that time, I had the coolest watch ever; it was one of those watches that you could shake up, and you could see glitter and confetti float around. What made it even better was the fact that it was a Little Mermaid watch! Well, being the seven year old that I was, I took it off to dig in the sand and forgot it when we left. I cried for hours that day, definitely one of the saddest days from childhood, hehe.
Over twenty years later, I wanted to drive up the coast to revisit the place that broke my heart. This time, however, there were no broken hearts. Exact opposite happened, actually.
The ocean mended my heart.
Here are some pictures from our drive up to Mendocino/Fort Bragg:
We stayed at this beautiful eco-retreat, Stanford Inn. It was so peaceful and relaxing, and I’m glad we randomly found this place on the side of Highway 1. Not only is it environmentally friendly, it has a phenomenal garden, which they use to get all ingredients for the restaurant on the premises. Plus, we were given bicycle rentals, which we didn’t have time to utilize, but how cool is that?! Red doors for each suite? Yes, please! Dog friendly? Why, of course! Maui and Hilo would’ve loved this place! This amazing retreat will definitely be on the “need to go back here” list in the near future.
I want to list all of the little pit stops that we went to, but because I’m short on time today, I’m gonna end the post here. I’ll have to share more pictures of our weekend excursion either later today or tomorrow.

PS: I’m counting down the days…
This weekend was beyond fantastic. I love all of the spontaneity; it’s been a while since I lived life with no time constraints from work. It’s just an overall wonderful feeling, truly a breath of fresh air.
On Saturday, we drove to Half Moon Bay. I packed up a lunch for all of us, and off we went. The dogs had a blast running and rolling around in the sand. It was definitely a windier day than most, but we still had a great time. It was pretty hilarious trying to watch Maui and Hilo run against the wind; their ears would stand straight up, hehe. After playing in HMB, we headed South into Santa Cruz.

Yesterday, we decided to drive down the California coast just for the heck of it. We were planning on leaving on Monday morning and going down the boring way, but why not take our time, drive down Highway 1, and enjoy its beauty?!

With clear visibility for miles, we spotted tons of marine life, whales, otters, and seals to name a few. The views are absolutely breathtaking, right?! I don’t think I could ever get sick of the ocean’s beauty.
Next month’s vacation can’t come any quicker. *sigh*
