It’s been a while since I had the opportunity to design for a kit club, so when I was asked to design with January’s kit from the  Sampler Kit Club, I knew it was going to be fun. Having matching papers and coordinating embellishments makes it that much easier to work with.

I love that the kit club releases sketches every month for inspiration. Here is January’s sketch courtesy of Holly:

I felt inspired, so I created two layouts from the sketch above.

If you’re feeling inspired to create with the sketch, make sure to click here. There will be a place on the post to share your layout. Besides, there are prizes up for grabs!

…and some other random layouts I created using pieces from January’s kit:

On another note, I promised pictures from CHA earlier this month.

Definitely a great time at the show! There were a lot of goodies that I know I’ll be hoarding once I get my hands on them, hehe.

I have been having scrapbooking withdrawals recently, so some friends of mine *cough* Holly and Nancy *cough* have been encouraging my dormant paper creativity. Well, it turns out being January’s guest designer for The Sampler Kit Club has jump started my mojo. The colors of the January kit make it so easy for me to want to bust out my scissors and adhesive.

In the layout below, I love the cute elephant sticker from Amy Tangerine‘s Ready, Set, Go collection. Yup, that comes in the January kit, hehe.

…and here’s another one just for fun:

While at the hotel earlier this week, I pulled out some of the Basic Grey in my stash of goodies. Yes, I had a major urge to create, so I borrowed a pair of scissors from the front desk and went to town, haha. Here’s one of the layouts I created:

Yup, the pictures I scrapped above were from the show. Ann and I had a little bit too much fun with this booth, hehe.

I have more layouts to share, but I’ll keep it to these three for now. Besides, I plan on posting more later this week. I still have to share our fun photos from CHA, Disneyland, and California Adventure this past weekend.

Well, it’s been a while since I last posted, but ordering at CHA had me wiped out for a couple of days. Then, it was right back to work for me. I have been so blessed with all of the love I have been getting from our customers since I’ve been back. Seriously, all of the support means so much to me. (Thank you to those who have popped in and supported us!)

As promised, I snapped some random shots from the show.

It was such an organized and chill show for me. We even managed to finish all the ordering in just TWO days, and we ordered more than we have ever before! Plus, we even got to socialize with friends at the show, as well as do the fun make and takes for the shop. I’m super excited about all of the new things that will be going on in the next few months.

I can honestly say that I am truly happy with my life. Does that mean that there aren’t any days where I feel crummy? Of course not! Life isn’t always rainbows and butterflies; that’s just unrealistic. However, when days start to feel cruddy, I remember moments and people that make me smile.

Good memories always put me back in a happy place. It feels great to surround myself among positive people who understand me and the decisions I make. I wouldn’t want life any other way.

As far as creating, I’m in a total slump. I was given a handful of goodies from various companies at CHA, but I haven’t been productive. Someone, please give me my mojo back!

…so what is going on in my head?! Well, if I had to write everything that was going on, this post would last a really, really long time. Rather than reading through every fine detail in my life, I thought I’d share some of the more recent happenings.

When I got home from CHA earlier this month, I caught some nasty bug. I’m thinking it was the flu. It knocked me out for almost a week, and I was so bummed that I missed everyone who stopped by my store to say hello. :( Hopefully, I’ll be seeing you all very soon. I’m feeling much better, but thanks for everyone’s well wishes. :)

Earlier this month, it was also Maui’s third birthday! Can you believe that my sweet l’il furbaby is now 3?! She’s no longer a puppy, ack! Anyway, I made her a delicious chicken and rice pupcake. By the way she scarfed it all up, it’s safe to say that she thought it was delicious!

Not too long ago, it was that time of the year — Chinese New Year dinner. Delicious food, unique culture, and family filled the house. I especially love Chinese New Year for the varieties of food you can put into hot pot. Yummy! Here’s the set up part:

My family recently came up to visit me on a weekend. We took a quick road trip up to Santa Cruz. Here’s a picture of me and my parents being silly:

…and I think that’s all of the pictures I have for today. See, I told you it was all about the fine details… NOT! ;) Oh wait! I have one layout to share. Here’s a random American Crafts layout that I finished at last Friday’s crop:

Have you guys seen the new American Crafts products that were released at CHA?! It’s so frick’n cute! I got my l’il scrapbooking hands on some of it it, and I can’t wait to create with it. Hopefully, I’ll be able to share some projects with y’all soon. ;)

This past week, I was down in Los Angeles doing some serious “business”, haha! Well, more like hanging out with the crazy girls and ordering for the store, hehe. The new stuff is UH-mazing, and I can’t wait for it. Here are some pictures from our trip:

Doesn’t it look like we didn’t get anything done?! ;) Heck no! I put all these gals to work, and I made sure that we have NEW stuff coming into the store in the next couple of months! :) Thank you to Angel, Julia, Tricia, and Suzy for all of your hard work!

It was also so wonderful to see some old friends and meet new friends in the industry! Overall, it was a tiring and CRAZY trip.
