I LOVE March because it’s birthday month. I’m ready for all of the lovin’ and spoilin’ that goes on around here.
On another note, I just wanted to post the latest work created by yours truly.
The first project was created for my cousin. When her son was born, I knew that I had to make some thing for her. I made her a wall hanging using the Zutter‘s new hang-it-alls:

Most of the papers on this project are from Donna Salazar‘s latest lines. …and that pretty lace is one of the many Kiki Art embellishments. To tell you quite honestly, this project was totally outside of my box. If you have seen my gallery, you must know that I’m a big fan of the vivid and bold colors. Working with vintage looking products is always a challenge for me, but I’m glad I tried. It never hurt to try, right?!
I found a way to organize my mini alphabet stickers! I created a book with my bind-it-all to store these stickers.

Notice Scooter’s Vacation by Imaginisce on the cover? Vespas! Dogs! Travel-themed stuff! Seriously, it doesn’t get any better than that! …and if you haven’t already heard, the twine is from Deana; she’s got tons of it in her shop, so make sure to check it out. She’ll LOVE you if you take some of it outta her hands.
For details on these projects, go check out my March gallery over at Zutter Zisters.
Now, for the fun stuff… stuff created for YOU and YOU and YOU.
The following layout was created for my good friend from high school. Her daughters are adorable, and I couldn’t resist putting them in a layout. Nikki Sivils gave me these papers to play with, and I finally got around to playing with her Flaming Butterfly line. I’m all about the bright colors, so this one made me happy!
The following two layouts highlight Imaginisce‘s Live Loud. When I received my DT box, I was so excited to start using it. It’s such a fun line to use. Really, it is!
This first layout was created for Erin. We spent a good amount of time trying to dig up photos to use, and after searching and searching, she found some. Glad she picked these because it’s perfect for the Live Loud line. Hopefully, she likes this one as much as I do.
…and last but not least, this one was created for Leisa and her son, Jaren. Jaren Beedee, I miss you. Let’s hang out soon, okay?!
I feel slightly nervous. Is this normal?! Well, I guess it is for me considering I have anxiety disorder.
…and I have officially started to count down the days until I turn 26! The biological clock is ticking; I better get on it.

Over the weekend, we went to visit the nearby NASA Ames Research Center. Here’s a little bit of information I found on the NASA website:
Ames Research Center, one of 10 NASA field installations, is located in the heart of California’s Silicon Valley at the core of the research cluster of high-tech companies, universities and laboratories that define the region’s character. With over $3.0 billion in capital equipment, 2,300 research personnel and a $600 million annual budget, Ames’ economic impact is significant. Ames plays a critical role in virtually all NASA missions in support of America’s space and aeronautics programs.
Pretty neat, huh?! …and it’s even better that there’s a visitor center that people can come and check out.

One of NASA's models on display.

This reminds me of ET.
I love this photo!

Wouldn't it be REALLY cool if we could touch something extra terrestrial!?

They have this roaming the moon exploring for life and water.

Out in outer space, haha!
Now that you have seen some outer space exploration, I’ll give you an itty bitty peek into my own personal scrap space. The back of the door holds some of my ribbon and punches. No, that’s not all the ribbon and punches I have. Trust me, I’ve got bags and bags and bags of ribbon stored elsewhere! As for the punches, there’s just no more space for them on the door. The rest of my punches are on my desk, under my desk, on the dining table, in my crop bag, in the car, etc. You get the picture, right?!

If this was REALLY what I had, I'd be thrilled!
…and yes, those are some EK Success punches! LOL.
As for my alphas, let’s just say I shouldn’t be buying anymore Thickers or alphabet stickers. Below is some of my stash. Yikes! Like the punches, I’ve got a ton elsewhere… on my desk, in the family room, in my crop bags, on the dining table, at my Mom’s place, etc. haha.

Here's a glimpse of some of my alpha stash.

What?! Don't look at me like I'm an addict! Some of these are given to me!

Dishrack turned into a place to put my alphas.
Any ideas on how to organize ribbon, punches, or alphas?! I’m open to any suggestions!
I have WINNERS to the 50k giveaway!
WINNER, WINNER, CHICKEN DINNER! Again, thank you to everyone who helped me reach my goal.

…and Christine thank you for generating a bunch of hits to my blog. You are the winner to the scrapbook supplies valued at over $50! If all of you could please email me at redoaklines[at]gmail[com], I can send out your prizes!
Last but not least, I’ve got more Zutter news for everyone! Want to win products that scrapbook stores don’t have yet?! This is what’s up for grabs:

…and Nan, posted this up on the blog:
It’s so much fun at CHA to share the new products and conduct make ‘n takes for crafters from everywhere! This year at the Zutter booth we made a different MnT everyday, and by far one of the faves was the 3-piece Clipboard Wood wall decor using the NEW Hang-it-Alls – the cute little hardware that takes your paper crafts to awesome hangable art. We used selections of paper from Donna Salazar Designs as well as the Rivet Setter, Hammer and Pound-it-All from Zutter…and voila!
To be entered to win, head here. There’s even a video posted.
Wow, that was a LONG post. Sorry for all of that rambling.

PS: Friday is going to be a life altering day.
Nan, our wonderful DT leader over at Zutter, cracks me up! I had such a blast working with her at CHA. She’s SUPER sweet, and she’s creative too, hehe.
Anyway, she sent over some FUN news that I wanted to pass on to everyone. (Note: You need to be a member of the Zutter Zisters forum to play.)
A message to all members of Zutter Zisters
Just for the members and before the main blog giveaway….come check out the video of the Hang-it-All make ‘n take from Winter CHA. Leave a comment on the thread and win one of 5 of the MnT kits!
The kits contain 3 pieces of 3X4 Zutter Clipboard Wood (we pre-punched the holes for the Hang-it-Alls), 3 3X4 pieces of new assorted paper from Donna Salazar Designs and enough Hang-it-Alls and rivets to assemble the pieces. You finish it off with your own photos and finishing touch embellishments.
We draw names on March 1….can’t wait to see what you think of the new Hang-it-Alls!
As a matter of fact, I helped Nan kit up these giveaways for everyone!
Here’s a preview to what is up for grabs:

Head on over to the Zutter Zisters forum for your chance to win these supplies to make your very own project from CHA.
…and for your weekend viewing pleasure, I thought I would share a recent video of the dogs at the dog park. Hilo is the little brown and white spotted freak trying to get the Cocker Spaniel to play with him.
Cute, don’t you think?!
Hilo is such a sweetheart. He wants everyone and everything to be his friend, and I love him to pieces. Okay, I just had to put that out there because people always think I favor Maui.
Happy weekend!

Have you seen Madge?! Have you met Madge?! If not, you’re going to want to keep reading on.
If you haven’t already heard, Madge is one cool gal! She LOVES to scrapbook, makes crafts for every occasion, and she owns every scrapbook tool ever made! Sounds like you, huh?! Sounds like me, huh?! Heck, no! This girl is extra special because she gets to works for Imaginisce. I’d like you all to meet my new friend Madge:
Doesn’t she kind of look like fellow Imaginisce design team member, Pinky, with her pink hair?! hehe. Anyway Madge wants to share some sneak peaks happening over at Imaginisce.

Check out the ad in the Feb 2010 of Creating Keepsakes!

A new tool?! What do you think it is?! Is that bling I see?!
…and Madge says that there are new paper lines coming out! Can I get a big “WAHOOOOOO”?! Check out all of the fun new stuff!

ADORABLE new products, right?! Well, anyway, stay tune for more updates from Madge because she’s the latest spokesperson for Imaginisce, and she’s got all the latest news and gossip.
…and because I’m already talking about SNEAK PEEKS — have you seen what Kiki Art has been up to?! Here’s the first sneak peek of some of the latest happenings:
Hot air balloons?! Clouds?! Bright and fun colors?! Can you say CUTE CUTE and more CUTE?! This upcoming line is totally going to rock! It’s unique in every way, and I know you are all going to LOVE it as much as I do.
…and if you are going to be at CHA this month, make sure to stop by the Kiki Art booth to check it out! Kiki, Nicole, and I have teamed up with Glue Arts (love their products) to do make and takes with all of the new stuff! You’re not going to want to miss it.

…and I’ll also be at the Zutter booth too! On top of the new tools they plan on releasing this month, the talented Donna Salazar had her wish come true. Zutter decided to come out with “Corrugated Board”. This is going to have me binding mini albums like crazy!

I created a couple of things I want to share with everyone.
This first layout was created for the current challenge over at These Are a Few of My Favorite Things. Right now, the challenge is to create a layout about your favorite fragrance. At first, I was having trouble trying to come up with something because I’m not a big fan of perfume or body sprays. Seriously, some of that stuff gives me migraines, so the FAVE GALS said it was okay to scrap your FAVE SCENT/SMELL! Here’s my take on the challenge:
I used the Blue Moon Scrapbooking kit that I won from Sketchy Thursdays! Aren’t the colors awesome?!
I also finished a layout using some Kiki Art products from last year. Fellow DT member, Katrina, was so kind enough to post for me on the Kiki Art blog because I’ve been swamped with CHA stuff. Make sure to check it out here. Here’s the layout I created:
…and more Hambly layouts for Memories Live On:
Last but not least, the furkiddos want to take over!
I just wanted to wish everyone a woof-ful weekend! This is going to be one FUN weekend for me! I can just feel it!
Shhhh, Hilo! I'm trying to take a nap! ...but before I dream of treats and dog parks, check out one of my shirts. There's nothing wrong with living with my pawrents at this age!
Wags and woof,
Maui and Hilo (and Mommy too!)
