I don’t even know where to begin. It’s been about a hundred years since my last post?! I truly have no words as to why I’ve been such a bad blogger; I really need to make time in my busy schedule to write and document my everyday. Perhaps, I should jump on that Project Life bandwagon. Oh, who am I kidding?!
Hmm, where do I start? I suppose my February excursions are a start. There was a lot of traveling in February.
We packed up and headed down to Dana Point for our good friends’ wedding. Each and every one of her details were beautifully planned. It was definitely an event to remember. Again, a huge congratulations to the beautiful couple, Erica and Joe! We can’t wait to share many more memories together with you two.
March has come and gone, and I managed to go without bloggin’ very much. I’m a huge fan of March because it’s my birthday month. Instead of celebrating at home, we headed to Seattle, Washington for the weekend. It’s incredibly gorgeous, and I seriously wouldn’t mind moving up to the Pacific Northwest. We took hundreds of photos, but here’s a handful of the memorable ones:
Handful?! More like double handful. Yeah, there’s tons more too, but it would take me way too long to get them all uploaded for a blog post. I’ve been definitely getting stuff put onto pages though, and I have actually created a mini album using Amy‘s new Daybook.
I love the Daybook concept because it’s easy to work with. You can basically scrapbook on the go! Add photos and embellish your heart out. Besides, it’s a lot of fun.
…and while I was at it, I created a layout with my leftovers! Love Amy’s stuff. If you’re in the area, come check it out over at Our Paper Place.
Not only is Amy a fabulous designer and teacher, she’s also an awesome friend! I have pictures from our Amy & Kelly workshops, so keep your fingers crossed that I get back on track with bloggin’! Stay tuned.
I have no idea how I’m doing this. I’m making layout after layout after layout. It’s craziness. I don’t make anything for over a week, and then all of a sudden, I can’t stop creating! I’m definitely crankin’ those puppies out!
The subtle pinks in this paper make me swoon! Seriously, it’s gorgeous! I love pretty paper; can you tell?!
Speaking of pretty, I love the flowers in the American Crafts‘ Margarita line, so I embellished a mini album by Basically Bare that was debuted at this past summer’s CHA show. The pages’ different mediums made it an easy book to complete. There’s chipboard, corrugated cardboard, canvas, felt, and acrylic all crammed into a book of awesomeness! Check out the book I cranked out in just a couple of hours at a crop:
…and here’s a sneak to something I can’t share yet, but it’s bursting with tons of color. I love the way it turned out!
I finally feel that I’ve gotten my paper groove back. I don’t want to stop now because I’ve got major momentum working for me, haha!
PS: Thursdays rock my world.
In case you didn’t already hear in the grapevine, I love to craft. Whether it be scrapbooking or knitting, I like all sorts of crafts. I have no idea why I enjoy creating, but I find it very therapeutic. Thus, I created a book about my LOVE to craft using the newest book from Basically Bare.
I’m usually not proud of my work, but I really like the way this one turned out. I felt so inspired to make this mini album. I stitched. I sprayed. I inked. I cut. I glued. I embossed. I did just about everything to this one. Goodness, I put my whole heart into this one, and I’m so glad that I did. It was super fun to make it!
It was so loaded with stuff that it wouldn’t lie flat, haha! …but who cares?! It’s all about the creativity that I put into it, right?!
On another note, Hilo and Maui still romp all over the place. The other day, we thought it would be fun to let them run around on the tennis courts while we played. Hilo had way too much fun. He was exhausted from chasing the ball bouncing all over the court. At least he slept through the night, haha!
Maui didn’t bother to chase the ball. Rather, she chased Hilo around the court. After a while, she decided to be a lazy bum and sit on the side and watch us play (and watch Hilo chase the ball like a hooligan). She, on the other hand, didn’t sleep through the night. Aye!
Now, I’ve got to get back to preppin’ stuff for National Scrapbook Day weekend over at Our Paper Place. There’s lots to do!
Is it crazy for me to want the clock to slow down every now and then?! If I could have it my way, I’d slow the clock down when I’m sleeping. That way, I could get a full night’s rest, haha! …but we all know, it can’t be done. The clock continues to tick away.
The clock indicates that it’s about time for me to share some projects that I worked on this weekend at my birthday crop. ((I’m surprised I even got anything done with all the fun that I had.))
Here’s a mini album that I created using the ever-so-cute Neighborhood line from Crate Paper:
…and a birthday project had to be created!
What do you think of this fun paper?! It’s one of the latest Basic Grey‘s releases, Life of the Party. I think it’s super fun, and I’m totally a fan on those silly moustaches, haha!
Tick tock. The clock tells me that it’s time for me to pick a winner from the American Crafts Blog Hop this past weekend! …and the album kit goes to:
Congratulations to Aimee K! Please shoot an email to email@example.com to claim your prize! Thanks to everyone else who joined us.
I can’t believe it’s almost that time of the year — Winter CHA! I have been bustin’ my booty creating project after project. On top of that, I have been helping Suzy assemble kits for her THREE SOLD OUT classes at CHA. Yes, I will be helping her teach these classes, so it’s gonna be a busy event. On top of teaching, I’ll be walking the floor ordering for Our Paper Place with some of the most fun, craziest, silliest gals! I plan on having tons of fun with all of them; it’ll be a girls’ night out all week long, baby! LA, look out because here we come!
Anyway, I thought I’d check in today with a simple post and a few pictures to share.
Here’s a Punky Sprouts book that I recently created this past week:
…so what do you think of this pretty line from American Crafts?! It’s their LOVE line, and it’s filled with such soft, vibrant colors! The color scheme alone puts me in a good mood.
You know what else puts me in a good mood?!
The looks on the dogs’ faces when I tell them that they get to go on a walk.
My ever-so-sweet babies! …and when Maui gives me that puppy face, I fall for it every time. I swear that she’s got that look perfected, hehe.
Also, spending time with my family on a day off will always put me in a good mood, especially when we’re venturing and exploring fun places on the weekend!
…and no, that elephant seal is NOT part of my family. HAHAHA! Although, sometimes I can look like that in the morning, HAHAHA!
Now, it’s time for me to get some sleep. Having enough sleep puts me in a good mood during the day, so comfy cozy bed… here I come!
PS: Thursday, could you come any faster?!
