I can’t believe it’s almost that time of the year — Winter CHA! I have been bustin’ my booty creating project after project. On top of that, I have been helping Suzy assemble kits for her THREE SOLD OUT classes at CHA. Yes, I will be helping her teach these classes, so it’s gonna be a busy event. On top of teaching, I’ll be walking the floor ordering for Our Paper Place with some of the most fun, craziest, silliest gals! I plan on having tons of fun with all of them; it’ll be a girls’ night out all week long, baby! LA, look out because here we come!
Anyway, I thought I’d check in today with a simple post and a few pictures to share.
Here’s a Punky Sprouts book that I recently created this past week:
…so what do you think of this pretty line from American Crafts?! It’s their LOVE line, and it’s filled with such soft, vibrant colors! The color scheme alone puts me in a good mood.
You know what else puts me in a good mood?!
The looks on the dogs’ faces when I tell them that they get to go on a walk.
My ever-so-sweet babies! …and when Maui gives me that puppy face, I fall for it every time. I swear that she’s got that look perfected, hehe.
Also, spending time with my family on a day off will always put me in a good mood, especially when we’re venturing and exploring fun places on the weekend!
…and no, that elephant seal is NOT part of my family. HAHAHA! Although, sometimes I can look like that in the morning, HAHAHA!
Now, it’s time for me to get some sleep. Having enough sleep puts me in a good mood during the day, so comfy cozy bed… here I come!
PS: Thursday, could you come any faster?!
Hopefully, he doesn’t see this, but I’ve got a major crush on my UPS guy. There’s a problem with this love affair though. He isn’t the main guy that delivers stuff to my store; he’s the seasonal UPS worker helping the main UPS guy, and he’s only working up until Christmas! I guess I can’t complain because I’m lucky enough to get a hot guy delivering my packages to my store temporarily.
He’s tall, soft spoken, and slightly awkward. When I say “awkward”, I mean that in a good way – as in he’s a dorky kind of guy. If you’ve ever met me, you’d know that I’m outgoing and bubbly, so I tend to flock towards the opposite — shy, geeky, dorky people. HAHA! Maybe I make him feel shy when I talk to him?! …or perhaps I’ve got it all wrong, and he’s flirting with me because he thinks I’m the hottest chick-a-dee in the shopping complex?! What?! It’s true — I totally am. I kid!
He did drop off a package and tell me how cool he thinks my store is, haha!
…and just so you all know, I have been ordering more than usual for the store. Why?! Well, because then I get a lovely package from UPS, of course!
I kid, I kid. This is all in fun just so you know. *wink, wink*
Anyway, I wanted to share some of the latest creations by yours truly.
Here’s a project that I quickly whipped up using Dear Lizzy Christmas from American Crafts:
I LOVE the colors to this line. It’s so Christmas-y, hehe. …but then again, I think that’s the point of this Christmas line.
…and did you know that Imaginisce came out with a new paper line called Garden Party!? It’s absolutely GORGEOUS! Yes, I ordered it, so if you’re local, make sure to come into the store to pick it up when we receive it! ((Maybe the UPS guy will drop it off for me, haha!)) Here’s a Punky Sprouts mini album that I created using this line:
Purty paper, huh?! It’s a spring-y line, but it works with just about everything.
Lastly, Holly gave me the Sampler’s December kit to design with. It’s totally all about Snowflake Kisses! Check out these two layouts I created using their current kit:
Anyway, I should be getting back to work. I need to finish pricing the latest Echo Park Be Mine stuff that my lover dropped off for me earlier today. Oh, and speaking of Echo Park, check out this mini album that I created using this line:
Drop into the store to pick up some for your stash. You’ll fall in love with it the way I did with the UPS guy, haha!
*daydreamin’ about the UPS dude*
PS: I seriously hope that he doesn’t know where to find my blog, haha! Besides, he’d have no chance with me. My cute l’il self has already found someone to make my heart flutter.
For the book, I used one of the latest from Punky Sprouts, Junk in my Punk. For the paper and embellishments, everything (except the tulle) was from the cute line, Dear Lizzy by American Crafts. Now isn’t that a great combination!?
If you haven’t tried playing with a Punky Sprouts book, you should definitely give it a go. It’s super versatile, and anyone can create with it.
As for me, Saturday is going to be nonstop. Today, I’m teaching two fun classes over at Memories Live On. After that, I’m probably headed towards the gym to put in a couple of miles. …and if I’m not too tired, the movie theater sounds like a fun place to wind down.
What are you up to today?
First and foremost, can you believe that I was asked to join the Punky Sprouts crew?! I wasn’t on their team prior to this weekend, so getting that announcement put a smile on my face. I LOVE to promote new up and coming manufacturers, so I’m thrilled to be on board with them.
With that said, I have a mini album that I want to share that I created for CHA. This one features some Echo Park Paper. I love the deep colors to this line. It’s just perfect for late summer and early fall projects.
Also, you might have already read more of my news somewhere else online. If you haven’t, guess who gets to be a guest blogger for Bella Blvd?! When they contacted me, I was so thrilled to be given the opportunity to share my work on their blog! I can’t wait to work with the products headed my way. If you want to see the announcement and leave me some love, click here.
Oh, and Hilo wanted me to share his latest photo. Gosh, his eyes get me every single time. He’s such a heart warmer!
As for what’s new with me, Monday is kicking me in the booty. I wish I could have slept in this morning, but I knew I had a long list of errands to run today. Grocery shopping is one of them. The fridge is so empty that it’s starving, haha! Hmm… what should I put on the menu for this week?
…and thanks again for all of the congratulations from everyone. I feel totally loved! I wish you all a wonderful week!
The past couple of days have been super eventful. Yesterday, we drove out to spend the afternoon at The Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, and today, we spent the day at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. I took tons of photos, so make sure to check back for some really neat shots. I can’t wait to share all of them!
Now, let’s talk about the good stuff! There’s a story behind the mini album pictured below. Suzy was looking for someone to create with one of the latest Punky Sprouts book. Well, guess who was nominated to work on a last minute project for the booth?! Me.
I had some Apple Cider by Imaginisce to create with, so I took the blank mini album back to the hotel room. Can you believe that I stayed up until 3 am working on this bad boy?! Nonetheless, I love the colors to this book. It’s making me wish it was fall already.
Anyway, I’m thinking about teaching it for a future class. What do you think?
Also, I wanted to share the latest kit from The Sampler. August’s kit is looking super cute; July’s kit was completely sold out, so make sure to snag this month’s kit soon! Here’s a fairly simple layout using the August kit. Check out the fun “back to school” stuff this month:
Do you like how I incorporated school supplies into this layout? I made sure to use lots of staples to embellish on this one. Furthermore, I used Crackle Paint to create a “sticky” look on the glue bottle. Did you also notice how I added a paperclip to the top of my photo? I think it’s awesome that I used actual school supplies to embellish my page; it adds such a neat touch to the overall theme of my project. This one totally fits perfectly for those “back-to-school” projects.
Lastly, I wanted to pass on that there’s a giveaway going on over here.
That’s it for now. I will be back soon with some of our recent summer pictures!
