In my zone.

Because of all of the changes going on in my life, I haven’t been quite able to enjoy the calmness I feel when I just sit down and relax. This past week has been the closest I’ve felt to normalcy in a long time.

For one, I got the time to scrap for a few hours, which is something I haven’t done since I moved. I made such a mess on the floor, but it was the best feeling! This upcoming weekend there is another scrapbook convention in Sacramento, and since it’s close to “home home” I’m going for sure. Even though I went to the Santa Clara one, I totally am ready for the Sacramento one. I need to buy more paper and more felt! That’s on my check list of scrapping goodies to buy, hehe.

This weekend, we also got our kitchen cabinets. Good news, right?! WRONG! That means we are going to put all the boxes of random pieces together. It’s a BIG puzzle, which will take a good couple of days. Sigh! This whole remodeling thing on our own is defintely saving tons of money; it’s just a lot of work. When this is all done, I’m going to cook up a meal like no other (perhaps better than any Thanksgiving dinner) just to enjoy the newness of it!

Anyway, enough of that. Here is my latest Pink Sketches layout to keep your eyes busy!

Title: Dog Gone Cute
Description: That picture of Maui was taken at the park after playing fetch. That’s why she’s got her tongue hanging out. I wanted to scrap this one because I thought her floppy ears looked really cute here.

Tomorrow, off to a day trip adventure… to I don’t know where. It’s a surprise for me and you. haha.

A bientot, sarah.

  1. If you want normalcy, you can always scrapbook about me. 😀 Now THAT would be a challenge!

  2. Isn’t it awesome to have some ‘me time’?!

Maui is a true beauty! So is your layout!! Love the layering! And such a cute title!!

  3. This is really a gorgeous LO!! Maui is sooo cute! Love your take on Sketch #9!

Glad to know that your sense of being “normal” is coming back. Hope that all the remodelling work will work out well for you and your family!
