It’s Thursday (well almost)! Chipboard RAK.

It’s Thursday (well almost – since it’s only 11:41pm)! We’re almost done with the work week. Wahoooooo! I wish it was mid May though. I am really excited for May to come; this is the most excited I’ve felt in over a year!Β  I can’t wait to share the FUN and EXCITING news. I consider it a blessing to our family. πŸ™‚

I wanted to share a couple of things. ((RAK info at the end of post)).

First, I know I’m behind on the ROL guest designers, but I am tackling my way through all of the wonderful and astonishing applications! It’s such a tough decision trying to decide with all of the talent that has been thrown my way. I plan on sharing the guest designers in a couple of weeks, so please stay tuned for that.

Second, our house is going to be under construction, again! We’ve searched up and down for the right flooring, and I think we found one that we really like. Boy, was it hard to pick something when you’ve got HUNDREDS of choices. Hopefully soon, most of the renovations will be done.

See, tough decisions when there are too many choices.

Tough decisions when there are too many choices.

Third, the talented Jill sent me something thoughtful. I was pleasantly surprised when I went to get the mail yesterday. If you haven’t checked out her stuff, head on over to her blog. She never runs out of scrapping mojo – she’s one super talented scrapper!

Thank you Jill; you totally inspire me!

Thank you so much, Jill; you totally inspire me!

Fourth, Marissa was so kind enough to add me to the Scrap Blog Congo Line!

Instructions are:

  • when you receive an invitation to join, you add the image as a sidebar picture widget.
  • then link the image to the one person who’s blog you want to be next in line.

  • You can only join the line if you are invited.
  • You can only pass it on to one person.

So how long can we go??? Lets make the longest conga line in the world!! I’d like to see go all the way around the world and back [to the person who started it, or perhaps to me?]

Make sure you follow through until the person you invite has added it to their blog otherwise the chain will be broken and it won’t work. If you receive an invitation and don’t want to be in the line then kindly let the person know who sent it to you so they can invite someone else.

I think this goes also for one who already has received the invitation. Let the person who invited you know you’ve already been invited so the person can invite someone else? Since it says you can only pass it on to one person… if you are invited twice, would that be considered passing it on to two people??? Any comments on this? Anyone? anyone? anyone?

We are really excited to see where this will end up! I am passing this to…. Lydia… come on down!

Fifth, I finally managed to finish up some layouts. I’ve been slacking with the creativity recently (it must be all of the new changes in the house). Any way, here are the latest layouts.

Oh, and of course… I had to share a picture I snapped of Maui earlier this week. She kept looking at me with her bulgy eyeballs when I was outside watering the grass, so I had to come inside and take it. I totally LOVE this precious face.

Is it time to go shopping at the pets store now?!

"Watering the grass, again?!"

If you haven’t done so, read the last post to enter the previous giveaways. I’m drawing two winners to the last RAK, so make sure to play along. As for this new RAK, it’s a bunch of chipboard goodies. I realized that I have way too much chipboard — raw, colored, shapes, letters, and other random pieces. They are scattered all over the place, and it’s driving me nuts, so I’ve decided to give some of it away. To win some chipboard goodnees, share a link with a layout you have completed using some chipboard (old or new). Again, you have until Saturday, May 2nd by 11:59 pm to play along.

I just love Jill to pieces! Dont you? She is so sweet and very talented. Cant wait to met her this summer. I hope you have a good day.

  4. I love chipboards. They give the dimension my layouts sorely need and they are so easy to use. Plus you can dress them up anyway you want, or use them raw. I used chipboards for my titles in these 3 layouts –

  5. I found your layout through Lisa Howard’s blog.
I love your layouts! And your dog is so cute!
We put hardwood in last year and I hate it, we went with real, not engineered or laminate, but we have 1 med. dog and 1 large dog and it’s so scratched up. Make sure you get hard wood. And a lighter colour, ours is very red/orangey, glossy, and is shows every paw print, dustbunny, and scratch. My advise, hard hard wood, lighter stain, matte finish. And get a pro to put it in!

  6. Pages are cute as always! We got some of those ice cream cupcakes from Cold Stone too! They ARE good. We had a be put on a waiting list to get some…they were so popular apparently! πŸ™‚

  7. Your work is really great! I love your layouts! I used to keep my creations very simple, but lately I’m trying to upgrade them with more embellishments like chipboard title and flowers on this one:
    Greetings from Belgium, Annelies

Your latest layouts are looking great as always. Such an inspiration. Also, renovations are always tough. The worst part is when things get shifted around, and you can’t seem to keep things organized. Good luck with all of that!
