the mantle, layouts, and fun photos.

I know that many of you are dying to see what the mantle we made from scratch looks like, so I decided to share a couple of pictures. 🙂

Heres what the mantle looked like when we bought the place.

Here's a before picture of what the mantle looked like when we bought the place.

Heres what it looks like now. It still needs to be decorated for this upcoming fall season!

Here's what it looks like now. It still needs to be decorated for Halloween!

I like the simplicity of it.

It's simple, but I love it! ...and we made it in a day!

…and I wanted to share some layouts I finished these past couple of days.

I worked on the Weekly Scrap Your Stash Challenge over at 3 Scrappy Boys. This week the challenge was to use patterned paper (at least two years old) and fabric. Here’s my take:

Isn’t that bright pink fabric awesome?! Well, I think so. I got it from the lovely, Deana. The background patterned paper was old Karen Foster paper I had stashed away in the older paper pile.

…and here’s a project I made a while back. It’s a cute little gift for dog owners. I made it using an old ribbon spool. ((Maui and Hilo were all over me when I was making this one, haha!))

Now for some FUN random pictures:

He is totally all-boy.

He is totally "all-boy" -- gross and dirty.

What a flattering shot of me! NOT! ...but yeah, this is the TRUE me. Hardcore WEIRDO!

Now this picture just makes me laugh! I love her face here. :)

That’s all I have for now.

Happy Thursday, folks!

Hugs,

sarah.

Love it! That’s not what the mantle really looked like when the place was first bought. You forgot the ugly taqueria colors on the painted wood paneling. Sick!

Where is that treat box anyway?

Glad to know you are a fellow Sex & The City fan! We must certainly include TV time when we finally get the TAAFOMFT gang together. TV, wine, girlfriends…perfect combination!!!
