Happy Halloween, again!

This is Halloween. This is Halloween. 🙂 I just wanted to share a couple of photos because it’s Halloween.

There’s this house about 10 minutes from where we live that goes all out for Halloween. When I say “goes all out”, I really mean “GOES ALL OUT”. This house has been featured on TV nationwide many times before, so we wanted to see what the hype was all about. It’s called the DC Cemetery. I didn’t take that many photos, but here’s some to look at:

The best part about this house is that it’s interactive. Some of the figures move and “talk”. There’s even music that plays in the background. It’s pretty cool. If you want to see more of it, here’s a video about it:

…and I thought it would be fun to do a RAK for Halloween.

Just leave a comment to this post telling me the best costume that you saw this year, and I’ll put your name into the drawing. If I’m over THIRTY comments, I’ll draw two names, and send prizes out to TWO different people. You have until Wednesday, November 4th to play!

Now, it’s time for me to start packing. 🙂

Hugs,

sarah.

  1. Best costume? These people down the street dressed up as douchebags! They got a bunch of people together and put some golf carts in a circle in the driveway, and they had a a fire pit with a HUGE fire going. To top it off, they were drinking and smoking in front of their kids!

Best costume I saw this year was someone dressed up as Janet Jackson during her little Superbowl incident (aka wardrobe malfunction). They had a little hand over her boob and everything. It was pretty funny!

  9. I saw some random people at the airport wearing costumes. Couldn’t tell if they worked there or if they were flying out somewhere? But… of course, I did ♥ my little vampire.

LOL!!! oh its terrible!!! LOL!!!! (no he didnt do it! lol)

  16. We don’t celebrate Halloween in Belgium so I can’t tell you what costume was the best ;-). I did decorate a little in my living room. There were Halloween candles and I carved a pumpkin.
    Love, Isolde

  17. Can I say my son was the best Spiderman EVER!! There were some cute ones in the neighborhood… 2 girls that made crayon costumes out of felt, that was neat. 🙂

  18. The best costume I actually saw this year was actually an entire family of costumes…the dad was Shaggy, mom was Velma, daughter was Daphne, and baby boy was Scooby Doo. It was so adorable to see the entire family all dressed up together in the matching theme…too cute!!

Well my neighbors cut leg holes in a cardboard box and decorated the outside to look like a refridgerator. They cut a “front door” so that it opened, and they glued plastic foods and the covers of real foods to the inside. Their little boy was wearing it and it must have been a little heavy or awkward because when he turned to leave our porch i thought he was going to tip over! It was pretty cute!

  20. Hanneke

That is one cool house!!!!! Very scary!!! We don’t celebrate Halloween so no costumes overhere!! But I thought Adam (Julie’s son) had a very cool outfit!!!!!

  21. Oh my, that place is waaaay too scary and spooky for me!

  22. the best costume i saw is of a kid wearing a cowboy outfit. 🙂

Best costume? My husband dressed up as Jesus. He wins!!! Haha 😉

Hope you had a great Halloween Sarah!!! 🙂

  26. well…there was a group at Jazz on the Lawn who dressed up as the Wizard of Oz bunch, and they looked pretty awesome (and won the costume contest)…i have to say the best costume i’ve seen was last yr. (at JOTL as well. this guy was dressed up as GI Joe Cobra Commander (packaging and all!!!) it was so bizarre, and i don’t know exactly how he did it, but it was just as if you were picking one up off the shelf in the store…it was amazing!
