getting some fresh air

Yesterday, where we live, it was clean AND crisp weather – the kind that makes you want to go outside and explore anywhere and everywhere. It’s the kind where you want to step outside and take a really deep breath because you can feel the cold air rush through your nose into your lungs.

The sky was slightly cloudy, but that didn’t stop us. We drove to Half Moon Bay to find some local places that I think would be a perfect fit. I’ve got my mind set on a couple of things, but we shall see. …and while we were in the area, we decided to take a break and just enjoy life. We took a detour from all the hustle and bustle of life and found ourselves playing at the quietest and most serene place I have ever encountered. It was absolutely GORGEOUS. The colors around me took my breath away. Here are some shots from yesterday:

Isn't the California coast beautiful?!

Even when the sky is cloudy, the coast looks amazing.

We found this fallen tree on our hike.

Gloria decided to wander further down the trail.

It's our new secret hiding spot. 🙂

What happens when I let others take photos?! THIS!

Today we decided to go on another escapade.  Before the rain started to downpour, we decided to take a short little nature hike in the wetlands about 10 minutes or so from our place. It’s a beautiful thing when you can get submerged in nature. Here are pictures from earlier today:

This is what the Bay Area wetlands look like.

"C'mon, Mommy! I want to check out the ducks."

What a pretty place for being 10 minutes away from us! It's so calm and quiet here.

I spotted a crane on the hunt for food! Yikes, birds! LOL.

That fresh air break was really needed because this upcoming week is going to be busy. I finished most of my DT projects, and now I’m working on CHA stuff. I’ve got to seriously start cranking them out this week. 😉

I cleared my work space to work on make and takes, and I found all of these alphabet sets on the table. Mind you, this is JUST the table, not anywhere else.

I didn't even want to do a final count. 😉

I have a separate place for all of my letters, but if I counted how many sets of Thickers, chipboard letters, or letter stickers I actually had, I think my bank account would start crying. LOL. Easily over 250 for sure. Yikes!

Anyway, wish me creativity and luck! I’ll be definitely needing some of that this week.

Such beautiful photos – I treasure memories of our vacations to the Bay area – such a different kind of shoreline than in Florida and the Caribbean. Good luck and have lots of fun at CHA – we want to hear everything. I am a piker compared to you with alphas- I will have to photograph my scrapping area so you can see what I have – when I run out of “e’s”, I turn a’s upside down and I use 3’s and yesterday I even cut the tale off of a g and it worked. LOL! Have a fantastic week!

I need to check when our spring break at work, but I may just have to redeem that A’s ticket if I don’t have work on Opening Day (Monday, March 5, vs. Mariners). I want to also hit up a Sharks game while I’m at it (although it’s the last week of the regular season…)

  22. Hi Sarah, I wanted to thank you for stopping and leaving a comment on my blog this morning, you are so sweet!

Thanks for sharing those beautiful pictures! I’m going to SF for Easter to my in-laws, but I LOVE Half Moon Bay! We’re also camping for 2 weeks this summer in Bodega Bay (I know, more north than HMB, but similar feel) and we can’t wait.

    Third, your furbaby is adorable!
    Have a great week!
