canadian memories.

I safely made it back home last night, and it’s true when one says, “There’s no place like home.” I had an incredible time in Canada, but relaxing in the comfort of my own home can NEVER be topped.Β I’m still trying to recover from the fun (and exhausting) week, so please bare with me until I get myself organized. πŸ™‚

I haven’t quite uploaded all of the pictures from my trip, so I’ll probably share the rest of them later this week. For now, however, here are some fun memories that I captured at ScrapFest at the Kiki Art booth:

The "Hot Mama" behind Kiki Art.

Before the show opened, I had a rundown on the Canadian currency.

I didn't get the memo to look, hehe. πŸ™‚

Canadian Kiki Art fans are so fun! πŸ™‚

Carla was one of my wonderful students. She created that cropping bag from scratch. Pretty neat, huh?!

Chatting with Kiki and fellow design team member, Jillian!

One of my wonderful and supportive blog readers.

It was all smiles at the Kiki Art booth. Here are some of my wonderful students at my Bind-it-All demo. πŸ™‚

I love this girl! She is seriously my soul sister!

Visiting with Kimber at the Scrapbook and Cards Today booth!

As you can see, ScrapFest was a success. People loved all the products, and I had way too much fun meeting andΒ greetingΒ with a ton ofΒ Kiki Art fans. Thank you to all who stopped by and introduced themselves to me. I was so happy to have met all of you! ((If there are pictures that you took at the booth, please send them to me at redoaklines[at]gmail[com].))

Kiki thought it would be fun to see a local sugar shack in the rural areas of Montreal. I absolutely loved the culture at this tavern. Being immersed in their culture left me speaking a little bit of French. πŸ˜‰ The food was excellent, and the scenery was GORGEOUS. To make the trip even better, Janic (Kiki’s good friend) and her family joined us at the sugar shack!

The rural areas of Montreal are GORGEOUS!

One of the many sugar shacks in Canada. πŸ™‚

Inside the shack, we had brunch, which was DELICIOUS!

The dessert was AMAZING! ...and it had pure maple syrup! YUMMY!

Pouring the syrup onto the snow creates YUMMINESS!

After it's poured onto the snow, you take popsicle stick to create your very own lollipop!

I was not warned that the YUMMINESS was going to get all over the place! haha.

Kiki and Janic's boys monopolizing the toffee! πŸ™‚

Isn't this so precious?! She's trying to feed the horses!

Taking a carriage ride around the sugar shack!

There are more pictures from my trip, but like I mentioned before, I haven’t uploaded everything yet. I plan on sharing more of my trip throughout the rest of this week.

((Thank you again, Kiki, for everything. I miss you and the kids already! Don’t you worry… I’ll be back soon, haha!))

In the meantime, I thought I would share a mini album I created using the latest line, To Love and Cherish, by Imaginisce.

To see more of this mini album, visit the Imaginisce gallery! Also, please head on over to the Imaginisce blog to check out some beautiful designs by some of my fellow DT members; they have come up with some brilliant projects featuring this new line!

As for the packages that I need to send out, I didn’t forget about them! I know some of you gals are patiently waiting, so thank you for understanding. I plan on going to the post office sometime later this week.

Hopefully soon, I will make it around to everyone’s blogs. I have missed reading everyone’s posts! I can’t wait to see what everyone has been up to since I left for Canada.

Until then, Γ€ bientΓ΄t.

I’m still not really positive on what this little guys name will be. This will probably be the last for me and I want to make the right choice. Names are very important after all. I think I’m putting to much pressure on myself….. But as of right now it’s going to be Brycen. I really wanted them to have the same initials but I can’t come up with a good D name that flows with Brycen thats also not already in use family wise. Our last name is said BY-sure so have any suggestion, shoot away.
