too much sun.

I’m going to enjoy this “warm” post while I can. The weather forecast calls for some rain very soon. πŸ˜‰

There is something about being in the warmth of the sun that makes you feel good. I’m pretty sure Maui and Hilo would agree with me. They spent the past couple of sunny days causing mayhem in the backyard while we enjoyed talking and reading outside.

I love this photo! It shows their true personalities.

Wrestling NEVER gets old for them.

...and neither does keep away!

I have darker skin, so I normally don’t get sunburned. For me, some SPF is good enough. Well, I have heard of dogs getting skin problems with overexposure to sun, but I never dealt with it firsthand. Maui never had any issues because her skin is dark even though her coat is white. However, Hilo is a different story.

YOWCH! My little man got burnt.

The dogs were so busy playing that I didn’t notice how red his skin was getting. Typically, when he plays with Maui, his skin looks pink from the increased blood flow; eventually, it turns white again when he’s not as active. It wasn’t until later that evening that I noticed his skin was more pink than usual. His skin stayed bright pink because he got sunburned. 😦

This is what was recommended to us:

We hit up several pet stores to find this.

Hilo (and Maui) don’t seem to mind getting sprayed before they get to play out in the backyard. Thank goodness! Otherwise, there would be minimal playtime outside in the backyard. With a bottle of this marvelous spray, the furkids are back to business. πŸ˜‰

"Mommy sprayed us with doggy sunscreen! Now, we can play!"

This post is just a little reminder to protect yourself, your children, and your pets from the powerful rays of the sun. Although it’s a great feeling to be in the sun, make sure you put on sunscreen. Your skin will be thanking you later. πŸ˜‰

Now, for a scrapbooking layout… ((Don’t worry! Everything was created before I decided to take a creative break, hehe.))

I recently posted a project over at the Urban Swank blog. I created a layout using photos from high school. Yikes!

Thankfully, these papers are GORGEOUS enough to distract the eye from these horrific photos, haha! These were definitely some fun times though.Β  Oh, the memories of high school, hehe. πŸ˜‰ For the details on these projects, head on over here.

Stay tuned for a handful of projects that I have been working on as of late. You’re gonna love them!

…and please check back midweek! I’m doing a really awesome Imaginisce giveaway right here. There will be some new products plus more to giveaway!

Until then…
