i have a question(s).

One can learn so much from being curious, and it’s true what they say: “There is no such thing as a stupid question.”

What do you think of this layout?

Over at My Paper Tree House, it’s my week to host a challenge. I thought it would be fun to challenge everyone to create a layout using one of my sketches! …so head on over and create a layout using the below sketch for your chance to enter some fun Jillibean Soup:

Do you like how I crumpled my cardstock paper to create texture?

That yellow cardstock paper was actually in the to-throw-away pile. I’m all about conservation, so instead, I decided to throw it down on my layout. Good thing I decided to use it because I love the texture that it added to my overall page.

For inspiration, I used the current sketch over at Sketchy Thursdays. I used the general design, but I changed the locations of my title and journaling.

What do you think of my Zutter owire embellishment?

I took some leftover owire from my last Zutter book, and I turned it into a little flower. Pretty cool, huh?!

Want to play along with this month’s Kiki Art sketch?

To spark inspiration, fellow design team member, Lynda, created this sketch for everyone to work with. I finished a layout featuring my beautiful little cousin, and I added touches of Kiki Art buttons and ribbon to give it that extra pizazz.

Would you ever take my class?

I was recently asked if I would ever teach online classes to some of my readers. To be quite honest, I never thought of that idea until it was brought up to me. The answer to that question would really depend on whether or not people would be interested on taking my classes. …so if you don’t mind, I’ve got a couple of questions for all of you.

If there are enough people interested (I’d say a minimum of FIVE), I will seriously consider teaching an exclusive class for those who are interested. Please let me know what you all think.

Wishing everyone a wonderful week!

Your layouts are just too cute! I had a feeling that Hilo’s trauma was going to show up on a layout. Hilo’s so adorable! That face! The crumpled paper and owire flower are so smart and very eco-friendly. Love the pic of you and your mom. She’s one gorgeous lady. Thanks.

  25. Jing-Jing

Your owl is adorable. I admire your crumpling of paper because I am a very straight and narrow type of gal, crumpling and distressing always come at great pain for me, I do it but I prefer others doing it 🙂 Your takes on the sketches are wonderful!

  26. Awesome sketch! I had fun putting it to use. 🙂

I love how that yellow paper looks on that page. Isn’t it funny how sometimes the things we think we should throw away turn out to be great additions to our own creative work? And the owire is so cool!
