did you…

Did you see the latest challenge over at TAAFOMFT?

We were prompted to create a project about our favorite blog/website. I bet you can’t guess what blog I picked, hehe! πŸ˜‰ Here’s the layout I created I using the July kit from The Sampler:

Yup, I finally created a page about my very own blog. Surprisingly, I had never scrapped about it before, so it was fun to make this one! …and in case you were wondering, the cute cloud/sun die cut was created with the Pazzles.

Did you know that I have a hard time making cards?!

I know I’m probably getting a couple of glares and rolling eyes from some of you, but that’s the truth. I’m not much of a cardmaker, so I spend extra time trying to design cards. For instance, the above card I created, using the July kit from The Sampler, took me 20 minutes to make. I could have completed a layout in that same amount of time! I might want to work on my cardmaking skills. πŸ˜‰

Did you check out the blog post that Kiki posted over at the Kiki Art blog?!

If not, you are going to want to click here. There’s a small sneak peek into one of her latest collections, which will be exclusive to Scrapbook Magazine. Leave a comment over there, and please let her know what you think! Moreover, I’ll let you in on a little secret. You might see someone you know in that same issue. πŸ˜‰

Did you see how cute my babies are?!

Maui has been a lazy bum these past couple of days. I think she’s missing her “Maddy”, so she is always staring out the windows. When she’s not eating, drinking, or playing, she’s relaxing either on the couch or in the patio. Resting and relaxation are her preferred summer activities.

Hilo, on the other hand, is always preoccupied with the array ofΒ  toys in the basket. First, it’s the new squeaky toy he got this weekend. Then, it’s the squirrel. Now, it’s this ball. As long as it has a squeaker, it’s good to go. The squeaking never ends in our house.

Happy Thursday! It’s my favorite day of the week. Truly, it is!

    Your TAAFOMFT … also cute.
I have to admit, the only other thing I took in was “I could have made a LO in 20 minutes”… You must be kidding me, right! No, LOL, I know you’re not, but it still is unbelievable to me!!!! It takes me days to finish one LO, I so wish I could scrap faster. Ah well, as long as we’re having fun, right?!!
Enjoy the rest of your Thursday!
    xxx Peggy

  6. Such cute pics of the doggies!!! πŸ™‚ Scarlet’s first mission in receiving a new toy that squeaks is to kill the squeaker in less than 5 minutes. She is successful 100% of the time!! So we don’t listen to squeaking for too long! πŸ˜‰ lol Cute lo for TAAFOMFT — love that you scrapped your blog!!

  7. Great creations….you know I’ve had a tough time with cards too. I’ve been trying to nip that in the bud lately. Keep trying! I love what you’ve done already.

Love your layout about your blog. The colors are amazing! For the card thing… I remember when I started scrapping, I couldn’t make a card to save my life! Seriously. They were awful. I would throw out every one of them. Luckily, I’m getting better at it. I really like your card and if your only problem is that it takes a while to make, then you’re lucky!

Great layout! Love those sparkly letters. The card is just wonderful too. You’re so lucky, I can’t make a card or a layout in 20 minutes. It takes be foreverrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. My chocolate lab has to perform surgery immediately to remove any squeakers. She also has to remove any eyes or extra limbs at the same time. She’s got priorities, you know?

  12. Oh Sarah… I love your layout what a great idea to do it about your blog….love the pictures of your fur babies…as well great shots…

  13. that first pic of maui looks like she’s watching a “the man your man could smell like” old spice commercial πŸ˜€

  24. Kat

great layout, fun card, and adorable pics!!

  25. LOVE the layout! I think it’s great you blogged about your own blog!!! And your card is fabulous! You are definitely an inspiration girl! um…and 20 minutes isn’t that long of time to complete a card actually! I’m impressed you can do a layout that quick! With the details and layering you do – I figured it take you at LEAST an hour! I’m opposite – I can usually whip the cards out but layouts take me FOREVER! LOL —
