I know that I tend to use the latest products on my projects, but that doesn’t mean that the older lines aren’t scrapbook worthy! As a matter of fact, the reason why older lines get stuck on the shelf is because of how cute it is. C’mon, admit it; you were hesitant to use it because you wanted to hoard it!
I ransacked my scrap stash to play with older stuff.
I altered the design slightly. Can you tell?!
The photos in the above layout were taken at the beach not too long ago. We let the furballs free on the sand, and they had a blast. They were kicking up sand left and right. After hours of running, Maui started to walk. Eventually, she came to an absolute standstill, hehe.
My next project was prompted by the current challenge over at My Mind’s Eye to create a summertime layout. Here’s the sketch they shared:
To me, summertime means spending more time outdoors. Thus, I had to create a layout about Hilo and his obsession with soccer.
I used an older line from My Mind’s Eye, but I think it still looks great. Don’t you?! Looking at those photos make me smile. Who would’ve thought that I’d adopt a dog soccer star?! If he keeps up his love for soccer, I think we might have a future World Cup candidate! 😉
…so what do you think?! For using older products, I think both layouts are completely scrapbook worthy. If I keep using my older stash, I’m bound to have more space for the new stuff, haha! Anyone want to get me some new supplies?! 😉
On another note, life has been wonderful. I was driving the other day, and I thought to myself, “I am truly blessed.” I have the most loving family. My friends are all very supportive of who I am and what I do. Numerous opportunities have opened up for me in these past couple of years. It just keeps getting better and better. Yeah, there’s always kinks along the way, but I tend to deal with it and move on. Besides, they’re not even worth my time.
I wake up every morning wanting to live. I am definitely in a different place from a couple of years ago. It is such wonderful feeling.
Here’s to life!
