owie, owie!

…so wanna know what’s going on with me!? Well, these past couple of weeks, I have had such sharp pains in my left wrist. I thought to myself, “Eh, it’ll go away.” After trying to let it heal on its own, the pain didn’t go away. I decided to go in to see the doctor because I didn’t want it to get worse. It turns out that I have severe tendinitis.Β  …and let me just say that IT HURTS! 😦

On top of having to wear a bulky wrist brace, it’s hard for me to make anything remotely creative! ACK! It’s so not fun with this pain. I probably shouldn’t be typing and scrapping as much as I have been, but I have to do what I have to do, right?!

…so to help the inflammation, the doctor prescribed me high dosages of Ibuprofen. If you know me, you’d know that I hardly pop pills. I don’t like to put stuff into my body if I don’t have to.

Anyway, last night, I had severe heartburn. When I say severe, I mean SEVERE! I woke up in tears, and the pain lasted hours.

…so that’s basically what’s new with me. OWIE stuff.

  2. I hope your tendinitis goes away quickly! I know it can be very painful. Too bad the ibuprofin irritating your stomach. I know it is probably impossible, but try to rest it.

  3. 😦 That sucks majorly. I hope it heals soon chick…

  6. Oh No!! Just a note, make sure you don’t take this on an empty stomach. You might want to talk to your pharmacist for some tips on how to reduce the heartburn. Hugs, Mary

  7. Hi Sarah,
Sorry to hear about the tendonitis. I had a severe case over 10 years ago. My work area was not ergonomic, so I was stretching out my hand when I used the mouse, instead of having my arm close to a 90 degree angle. I took prescription Advil, had physical therapy, and had to cut my time using the keyboard. What helped was using my left hand to give my right hand a rest. Lots of stretching when using a computer. Icing my arm down on a regular basis helped. It took a while to get better. Take care of yourself.

P.S. I was psyched to see the photo of you and I on the Hambly blog post!
