…but then who doesn’t?!
This past weekend was tiring, but everybody had a blast. Well, except for Gloria who had to work 15-18 hours a day through the holiday weekend.
For the holiday, we had a BBQ in celebration of Independence Day. On top of that, one of my parents’ friends was celebrating a birthday, so lots of people were in and out of the house. Maui and Hilo did not seem to mind the company; they got tons of love all weekend. …and when the sun went down, fireworks at our annual FOTL was super entertaining.
Yesterday morning, I was assigned to “sister duty”. Sean, my little brother, dragged me to our parents’ rental house in Sacramento. Sean and his friends are now going to be living in that house, so he asked me to come check out their pad. I was supposed to help fold his clothes and put them in his drawers; unfortunately, I didn’t get to it. Sorry, Sean! Instead, the dogs and I just roamed around like a bunch of troublemakers. 🙂
Afterwards, we went swimming at my parents’ other house in Roseville. My uncle rents out this house now, so we were able to hang out there. I grew up in this house, so it brought back a lot of memories. We all had a great time hanging out with the exception of Hilo falling into the pool. Good thing we saw it happen; otherwise, he would have drowned. He did a great job keeping afloat in the water though. Suprisingly, he still wanted to play in the pool after the incident, so we started to teach him how to swim.
For those with pets: Be careful when your pets are by the pool. I have heard so many horror stories about drowning pets. They seriously are like children, and you have to keep your eyes on them.
Here’s one using the latest Basic Grey – June Bug line! Isn’t it cute?! I cut out the doggies. 🙂
…and I finished two layouts at the crop last Wednesday. Suprising, huh?
