winter cha 2014, california adventure, and disneyland.

I can’t believe that our much anticipated girls’ weekend is already over. We had this road trip planned for over half a year, and it came and went so quickly. Maybe we need to start planning another trip because I’m going through fun withdrawals already.

Anyway, our original intention was to go to the winter CHA mega show to check out all of the latest in the craft industry. Yup, we went and gawked over all the pretty new things (my favorites being a handful of the new Lawn Fawn stamp sets)…

…but the fun actually started when we went to play in the parks! We hit up California Adventure first.

There’s no way in heck that I’d get on California Screamin’! You couldn’t even pay me to ride that rollercoaster, but the two daredevils couldn’t wait to get on that ride. Can you spot Ann and G in the picture below?! What crazies, haha!

It was also my first time to ride the Radiator Springs Racers ride! I loved the exhilaration of it. Below are a couple of pictures that Ann snapped of me during the ride:

…and believe it or not, me and Shaleen actually got on the ferris wheel that night. Here’s a view from up top:

We also went to Disneyland. We wanted to make use of the girls’ annual passes, haha!

Shaleen’s fabulous cousin was actually working a face painting shift when we there, so guess what we did?!

…and more random snapshots from our day in Disneyland:

Our favorite little hangout place, Trader Sam’s Echanted Tiki Bar.

On our way back up, we took the long, scenic drive. We drove through Hollywood and Beverly Hills. Yup, we even went down Rodeo Drive. Then, we drove up the coast to keep us entertained. We stopped in Santa Barbara to grab lunch at the harbor, and then we headed home.

I still can’t believe that trip came and went. I wish it was longer. Boo! Well, I guess that just means we’ll have to plan another trip in the future.

PS: Thanks, Ann, for letting me use some of your photos. They turned out fabulous!

just got happier.

There’s definitely something magical about being at Disneyland and California Adventures. The older I get, the more I appreciate the whole experience – the props, the costumes, the rides, the food, just everything.

Today I wanted to share our day playing at California Adventures. On our first day, we had such a blast.

Every time we’re in a Disney park, G straps Woody to the camera bag. It was so adorable when the little kids saw her walk by, and they screamed and pointed, “WOODY!”

Yup, there was an entry malfunction into California Adventures. G’s ticket wouldn’t print for some reason, so I chuckled to myself while G and Ann were on the other side of the gate. I’m not going to lie; if they weren’t allowed in, I was going to ditch them both for the happiest place on Earth, haha! Just kidding!

How do I not share a picture of The Little Mermaid ride?! It’s only one of my favorite Disney movies, haha. Besides, King Triton’s carousel ride is awesome, especially with the seahorses!

The wait for Toy Story Midway Mania wasn’t that long with good company. Yup, we had a bunch of fun taking pictures.

I, of course, didn’t go on the crazy rides, but G and Ann went ride crazy. As a matter of fact, they went on Goofy’s Sky School ride three times! Um, yeah… they’re crazy. 😉

California Screamin’ is obviously not something I was planning on riding, but below you’ll find a picture of them in the front row.

Cars Land is so worth the ticket into California Adventures. The set up is so much like the movie; you actually feel like you’re walking around Radiator Springs.

…and if you’re there after sunset, make sure to stick around for the World of Color show. We got a prime spot for this show, and it was phenomenal. I absolutely loved it.

Looking at these pictures is making me feel like I need to go back. Soon enough, soon enough… I’ll be free. Things seriously just got happier!

Stay tuned for Disneyland photos, adventures at CHA, and more layouts that I have been working on.
