boo to a double ear infection.

Nothing new and exciting to share today, other than I’ve been feeling icky and sick. I knew something didn’t feel right (other than the fact that I couldn’t hear out of my left ear), so I rushed myself over to urgent care on Saturday afternoon. I wasn’t thrilled that the wait was a little over two hours, but I knew I needed to see a doctor.

Well, the doctor confirmed that I have an ear infection, in not one ear, but both of them! Big ouch!

Believe it or not – I have never had an ear infection up until now, not even when I was an infant! It must have stemmed from the cold I was fighting. Anyway, now that I’m on antibiotics, I’m feeling slightly better. I’ve got my fingers crossed that I continue to feel better throughout this week.

On another note, I just wanted to share a quick post of a layout that I finished up last week.

I love, love, love the bright colors on this layout. I used a combination of the latest stuff from Echo Park and Glitz Design. The orange and blue hues are so fun and so full of life! Oh, and I’m sure you can tell that I went washi tape happy on this one, hehe.Β

Also, make sure to check out this card that I posted over on the Sampler Kit Club blog last Friday:

Pssst… I actually stamped a little bit to finish this card, hehe. …and yes, I used washi tape on the card, lol. Make sure to follow their blog for the latest projects using their current kit.

Oh, and a quick update on Maui and Hilo: they’re SPOILED! I found these at Target on clearance, so of course, I bought them each a toy. They’re in LOVE with them. I seriously have a love/hate relationship with Target. You go in there to buy ONE thing, and you come out with a cart full. I need to practice better will power when I’m in there.

Anyway, I’ll leave it at that. Keep your fingers crossed that my sinuses clear up quickly. I really, really need this to be a speedy recovery.

i’m so uncreative.

I couldn’t think of a title for this post, so hence what you see. I told you that even I could suffer from a lack of innovation and creativity. πŸ˜‰ As a matter of fact, I’d love to hear what you want to read. Ideally, this blog is for my personal documentation, but having a prompt would be totally helpful. Should I write/share more about my work? The dogs? My past? What do you think?

On another note, I got my hands on the latest from Echo Park Paper. I finished a layout, and I created a card with my leftover scraps. The design of this page is not typically something I would create, but I thought I would try to be different.

I’m in love with this line. Isn’t it “spooktacular”?! I especially love the witch feet. It’s super cute?! It reminds me of The Wizard of Oz, which by the way is one of my favorite movies to watch!

I also got my hands on some of the Togetherness line from Cosmo Cricket. I told my friend, Suzy, that I would create a layout about her, so here it is:

Cute, right?! I’m talking about our faces, lol. Just kidding! πŸ˜‰ Seriously though, the animals in that line are adorable. I caved in and bought the chipboard embellishments to this line. I plan on doing another project very soon!

…and because I shared a picture of Hilo in my last entry, I thought it would only be fair to post Maui’s precious face. Want to see what I wake up to in the morning?

I’m totally the luckiest dog mom in the world. πŸ˜‰

Today when I looked in the mirror, I saw my reflection. This is what I saw:

Okay, not really! …but I did wake up feeling tired from lack of sleep. Anyway, when I was in the bathroom getting ready, I gazed into the mirror and saw my reflection. I told myself, “This week is going to be a good week. I just know it.”

So far, I’ve been right! I finished all projects that I needed to do today, and that hardly ever happens. I finished cleaning the kitchen. …and I even managed to plan a last minute trip to Southern California! I was invited to attend and help out at REFLECTIONS this weekend, and I honestly couldn’t resist.

I will be there helping with some of my creative friends, Shelly from Punky Sprouts, Daniela from the Art Life, and the crazy Suzy. We are definitely going to have a blast. If any of you are in the area and plan on going, please let me know, or just stop by the Punky Sprouts booth to say hello.

Lastly, I know some of my readers have been asking to see some of my latest publications. Right now, I’m in this issue:

The best part about this project is how it shows off how I used the Zutter bind-it-all! …and of course, the fact that there’s a cupcake on it! πŸ™‚

Lastly, I wanted to share some of my recent Urban Swank projects.

Yes, I misted on this one, hehe. What?! I can’t help it; consider it a type of addiction. πŸ˜‰

My second project is a simple card that I created using some of the scraps that I had in my Urban Swank stash. Seriously, these papers are so pretty! You do not have to embellish all that much. The paper seems to do all the work for you.

What do you think?! Pretty, right? Hope you enjoyed my latest! That’s all I can share for today; the rest of my projects will be posted later this week.

In the meantime, take a look into the mirror, look at your reflection, and tell yourself something positive. πŸ™‚

HUGE NEWS and imaginisce sketch.

I’ve been feeling rather sick when I wake up in the morning. The morning sickness is seriously getting on my nerves! For instance, this morning when I took Maui and Hilo outside to relieve themselves, I felt dizzy and light-headed.

Ack! Just talking about it is making me feel sick! I rather talk about something else. Let’s talk about some of my recent projects instead.

There’s a new sketch from Imaginisce this month! Each month one of Imaginisce‘s design team members creates a sketch to share with everyone. This month, the talented Aphra created this one for us to use:

I love the design to this sketch! Don’t you?! I didn’t follow it to the tee, but I definitely used it to get my layout started. Remember that sketches are there to inspire you, not to stress you out. …so get creative and make it your very own! If I can do it, I know that all of you can too. Here’s my layout using the above sketch:

I created all of those flowers out of the matching ribbon that goes with Imaginisce‘s Live Loud collection and Tombow‘s Mono Aqua Liquid Glue. Again, thank you to Tombow for supplying Imaginisce‘s design team with loads of adhesives for the blog swap. A scrapbooker can NEVER have too much adhesive, hehe. πŸ˜‰

To be entered to win some Imaginisce products, leave a comment so I know you stopped by. Then, head on over to the Imaginisce blog for more inspiration. Make sure to hit up the rest of the designers that used this sketch, and you’ll have more chances to win!

Do you remember me posting this card?

Well, I wanted to give you the scoop on this card. Not too long ago, there was a challenge hosted by Technique Tuesday at a local scrapbook store, Scrapbook Territory. We were required to use one of their stamp sets and create a Thank You card. It turns out that I won that challenge! I had to share because I’m not much of a stamper, so this is definitely an accomplishment for me. πŸ™‚

Oh, and I am beyond thrilled that I got another email yesterday indicating that I’m going to be published in another book! πŸ™‚

As for the morning sickness, I found out last week that I was pregnant.

It can’t be true…

…because it’s April Fool’s Day! πŸ˜‰ Did I successfully fool any of you?!

Again, I repeat… I am NOT pregnant. Zilch! Nothing! No! Negative! I just had to clarify that in case any family members come by to read this post. πŸ˜‰

me?! crazy?!

One night atΒ  Scrapbook Territory, the plans for Texas were being finalized! Suzy and I were so excited about the trip that we had our friend, Lonae, take some photos of us being crazy!Β  A couple of them turned out slightly blurry, but I still wanted to share them. They are too fun to not post! Here are a couple of pictures that were taken:

I thought these photos show off who we really are — CRAZY (and creative), of course! πŸ˜‰

I finished a layout using some cute stuff from Jillibean Soup. The colors to these papers are totally screamin’ my name, wouldn’t you say?!

I’m not much of a stamper, but I decided to give it a go. Besides, my ink and stamp collection are feeling desolate nowadays. Here’s a card I created using The Girls’ Paperie leftovers and a Technique Tuesday stamp:

Ever since Gloria bought me this as a gift (perhaps because she was getting sick of finding glitter on the floor and on the dogs’ paws, hehe):

I have been playing with the messy good stuff – – glitter, flock, embossing powder, beads, etc. In the above card, I glittered the “thanks”. The glitter definitely added that extra flair that I was looking for!

Don’t forget that tomorrow, March 26th, the Zutter Zisters are hosting a blog hop! We will all be giving away some of the latest from CHA on each of our individual blogs, so don’t forget to head back here on Friday. πŸ™‚

Lastly, does anybody have unwanted Legos lying around their house? I’ll be more than happy to take them off of your hands. I’ll buy them from you if you don’t want to give them away. …or does anyone know where I can find someone who is selling their lot of Legos for a decent price?

Please let me know.

I will catch you all later!

PS: For you. Oh, and a picture of the critters doing what they do best – being cute!
