the one with LOTS of updates.

When did we get through half of this year?! It’s already June, but I can’t seem to believe it.

…and because it’s the beginning of the month, that means it’s time for a fun sketch brought to you by fellow Imaginisce DT member, Kim.

This one works well with scraps, and that to me, is always a good thing. The more scraps I use up… the better! For this sketch, I used the super cute Splash Dance by Imaginisce.

Don’t you love all the bling?! Thanks to the i-rock, I was able to add those fun touches of color to my page.

Don’t forget that you are going to want to visit the Imaginisce blog for a chance to win some great prizes! Also, feel free to use this month’s sketch, and you will be entered to win some awesome goodies. You never know if you don’t try, right?! …so hurry, and start your layout! 😉

Also, there’s EXCITING, EXCITING, EXCITING news over at My Favorite Things! Make sure to check out Julie‘s announcement over here. You don’t wait to miss what the FAVE girls have been up to! It’s going to knock your “shoes” off if you know what I mean. 😉

Today is also the big reveal for My Paper Tree House! Nana, another Kiki Art DT gal, graciously invited me to be a part of her kit club. We have been busy cranking out project after project, and we are all so excited to be able to share all of them with you today. Unfortunately, you will all have to wait until later this afternoon to see my reveal. I’ll post an update on the MPTH blog and back here after lunch. Stay tuned. 😉

He is now home with us.

Today, even though still not feeling well, he’s doing much better than yesterday. He still has major IBS (aka. diarrhea), and I think that’s taking a lot of energy out of him. We took his temperature today, and it’s finally normal. Phew! My only concern is that he doesn’t get dehydrated. Other than that, I think he’s on the way to brighter and better days.

Again, thanks for all of your positive vibes. 🙂

determine your mood.

I was told that the more positive words and phrases you use, the better you feel. I had to try it out in a blog post. As you read this post, take notes of your mood changes.

I feel alive every time I sit and create a project. Whether I choose to create an assigned project or one out of the blue, I feel inspired. Today, I completed a handful of new stuff to share!

The current sketch over at Sketchy Thursdays sparked my interest. On top of being innovative, it’s a fairly easy one to work with. Here’s what it looks like:

When I first saw this sketch, I was eager to use, so I decided to use it on a store sample for Memories Live On. I modified it slightly, but I still think it came together quite nicely.

Don’t you just love how I used shabby-colored paper to create a layout about how I enjoyed eating my delicious sandwich?! At first I thought, “How odd of me!” Now when I look at this layout displayed in my LSS, I think it’s pretty ingenious. 😉

I created another layout using the super cute Splash Dance line by Imaginisce. Again, I used Core’dinations as my choice of cardstock; I’m absolutely a fan.

Doesn’t the square made of bling look stunning?! I used the new i-rock tool and i-rock template for it! If you have not tried this tool, I would totally recommend giving it a try. You’ll love it. Let’s just say that I have been using my i-rock all day. 🙂

Lastly, I thought I would share a couple of fun quick links today.

  • Kiki Art wants to know what your favorite animal is. Share it with us here for your chance to win some free product!
  • Did I ever tell you that I was invited to design for the kit club called The Sampler for my LSS?! If not, check out the announcement here!
  • Imaginisce wants you to check out the Splash Dance idea gallery for a chance to win some marvelous stuff.

…so what do you think? Feeling a little bit more positive after reading this entry?! I would surely hope so.

Happy Tuesday! …and don’t forget, there’s going to be some major giveaways going on very soon. Stay tuned!

PS: How is it possible that I found a gem stuck to Hilo’s head? Oh, that’s right… he likes to scrapbook with his Momma. 😉

go away, headache.

Note: This was written last night and then early this morning.

To Headache,

It’s late, and I should probably be sleeping. However, I’m still awake. I am going to blame my lack of sleep on you. Why won’t you leave my poor head alone?! Besides, I need to wake up early and run some errands. With you nagging me, I’m going to want to get up late.

Oh, why do I even bother with you, Headache? I’ll just let you stay until you decide to leave. Instead, I’ll stay up to share some of my recent projects:

I got around to playing with the latest sketch from Sketchy Thursdays. Here’s the sketch:

For my take on this sketch, I finally had a chance to play with Imaginisce‘s cute new line, Splash Dance.

**Sarah: falls asleep while she tries to rest her eyes**

**Sarah: abruptly wakes up and realizes she fell asleep cuddled up next to her laptop**

…so Headache really knocked me out, I guess. I’m glad it did because my head is feeling much better. Now, back to sharing the latest creations, haha.

I finished a Punky Sprouts mini album with the Splash Dance line. For this one, I totally made a mess, but isn’t that the best part about creating?!

Isn’t that such an adorable line?! I love the cute little sea creatures; the colors are so soft, yet they are perfect for beach photos. Oh, and the wires I used are not original to Punky Sprouts; I decided to switch out the wires with some light blue owires from Zutter.

On another note, I am so appreciative of all the sweet visitors who popped by my blog this weekend. You all put a big smile on my face. With that said, I wanted to share the lucky winners to the giveaways.

The lucky winner to the handmade Kiki Art album I created in honor of the Surfrider Foundation is…

The lucky winner to the Scrapbook Day giveaway is…

Congrats to both of you wonderful gals. Please email me at sarah[at]kiki-art[dot]com to claim your prizes.

That’s all for today. See you all soon!
