Just wanted to drop in and do a quick post with some of my recent layouts. All of these layouts were created using the November kit from The Sampler Kit Club.
I still have the kit sitting on my table, so hopefully, I’ll get to creating another layout (or two) in the near future.
We are so lucky to have such fabulous friends like David and Ann. They were so thoughtful and got Maui and Hilo a subscription to Barkbox. This was always something we wanted to buy for them, but we never got around to doing it. Anyway, we, more specifically the pups, were so excited that their first box arrived over the weekend.
We didn’t open it up right away, as the dogs were hanging out with Grandma and Grandpa over the weekend, so we opened it up last night. They were so excited to see what was inside of the box. Hilo actually pried open the box by himself, hah!
Hmm… so what did they get this month?! Here’s what was in the October box:
Everything in the box was a hit with both of them! Hilo’s been playing non-stop with that glow in the dark ball. My arm’s actually getting tired of playing fetch with him (we’re currently playing fetch while I blog this post). …and Maui loves the blue Bumi toy! We can’t wait to see what’s in next month’s Barkbox. 🙂
On another note, it seems as if my creative mojo has returned. I’ve been popping out layouts left and right. Today, I wanted to share the latest two that I created using October’s kit from The Sampler Kit Club.
I really like all of the stars in this kit. Although simple and small, I think it adds such a fun touch. I’m hoping to get in more play time tomorrow, but we shall see if I manage to find the time. I’ve been working more hours than usual this week.
Wow! Posting two times in a week?! Is there something wrong with this picture?! Nope, it should be a norm, but I’ve been definitely lacking in that department. I’m working on it… hehe!
Anyway, I just wanted to share a couple of layouts that I created using The Sampler’s October kit. I’ve been crafting a lot this week because I’m out with a cold. Other than sleeping, this is the perfect way to stay in and get some rest, if I don’t say so myself. 😉
Layout One: You can’t really see it from this photo, but I actually stamped on this one. This month’s kit has its very own stamp set. Cool beans!
…and here’s an obligatory closeup. Love all of the feathers in this fun, indie-like kit!
Layout Two: I don’t normally use purple paper, but I thought this worked quite nicely. As a matter of fact, I think it gives this layout a nice touch! I also love the randomly places frames on this one; it’s from a patterned paper from My Mind’s Eye. Yup, that piece is also included in the kit!
…and another closeup shot, with more feathers! Are you sensing a trend here?!
I still have the October kit sitting on the table, so I plan on getting in more craft time. Besides, I’m still battling this nasty cold. What better way to cure it?! Oh, scrapbook, of course! Expect more projects soon.
I feel like some days I have the urge to create. Then, there are days when I feel like I have absolutely no mojo. It’s crazy how creativity flows from someone’s mind. Anyway, I just realized that I never got around to posting some of my latest layouts that I made during one of my creative sprees. Here is what has been sitting amongst my huge pile of scraps:
Yeah, that’s a Christmas layout! Don’t think I’m working ahead or anything, haha! It has pictures from last season. On another note, I love the Christmas paper from Lawn Fawn‘s latest release.
I haven’t even finished printing all of the pictures from our last trip to New York, let alone our trip to Chicago. Yikes! I did, however, scrapbook a couple of the photos I did get around to printing. Yeah, this layout has old October Afternoon that I have been hoarding, haha! It always feels nice to use up your old stash of scrapbook goodies.
…and I can’t always scrapbook with all of my old goodies. I need some of that cute new stuff too. This one uses some of the latest from Bella Blvd‘s summer release, as well as fun embellishments from the September kit from the Sampler Kit Club. Is it just me or have I been doing a great job getting our Redwood National Park photos onto layouts?! Now why can’t I do that with the New York and Chicago photos, hah!
Yup, that’s all I have for now. I’m hoping I can get to play with my October kit from the Sampler Kit Club real soon. There’s fun stuff in the current kit that I can’t wait to use.
In the past couple of days, I have played with the September kit from the Sampler Kit Club, and I went to town with it. Here’s what I’ve been working on recently:
…and I even got a mini album in the works. This kit has really inspired me. 🙂
There’s still lots of craftiness on the table, so you’ll most likely be seeing more from moi. Besides, I have to write a blog post about our adventure to the pumpkin patch today. We took lots of fun colorful pictures to share (and scrapbook, too!)
